I love tacos. So when I moved back to Florida from Chicago, I was craving authentic tacos I used to get in Chicago. The tacos at La Lupe were good. Not mind blowing but good. Maybe I hyped up myself from other reviews. Or maybe after having been to Mexico City that I have higher expectations of tacos. But please give this place a whirl. They’re good enough to try for yourself.

Came here for a quick lunch, ending up being maybe some of the best tacos of my life and that’s no exaggeration. Renata was super friendly and welcoming . Overall great experience. Will be my new go to taco joint

Came in for tacos for lunch and everything was great. Had chicken steak and shrimp tacos and the flavors were great. We’ll definitely come back.

My friend Lee and I just had dinner at La Lupe and it was fantastic. Our server Renata was kind, patient, caring, and made sure we had a wonderful experience and we did. Lee ordered the Shrimp Fajitas and the smell was out of this world! I ordered the Chili Rellenos and that was excellent too. We will come the next time we are in town!

Love it. It was Delicious. Highly recommend this spot. It’s like a bar feel but it’s a restaurant. The food was so good. The best fajitas I have ever ate in a restaurant. And the price for the food is unbelievably cheap.

Unless you’re without transportation and truly have no other dining choices, I strongly suggest staying away from this restaurant. I visited today and was immediately put off by how unclean the place felt. I ordered a glass of ice water, and it arrived warm, without ice, and served in a visibly dirty glass.
I’ve had plenty of al pastor tacos over the years, but what I was served here ranks among the worst. The meat was unidentifiable—overcooked, then seemingly re-fried in oil, leaving it greasy and unappetizing. It tasted just as bad as it looked: every bite came with a strong, unpleasant aftertaste. If I hadn’t been dining with family, I would have sent it back immediately.
To make matters worse, no silverware was provided, no chips and salsa were brought to the table, and there wasn’t even salsa available for the tacos—something that should be a basic offering at any Mexican restaurant.
The lack of care in both the food and service makes me seriously question the management of this place. If there’s any genuine effort to represent Mexican cuisine here, it’s completely missed the mark.
Check out the photo I posted with this review—you can see for yourself just how unappetizing the pastor taco looked.

Went with 5 people. I had never been here so i looked it up because I wanted authentic Mexican. Walk into my party had to wave the waitress down so she could get me a drink since everyone else had drinks. Mind you no one else was in there at all. Food was just ok. Order steak tacos and I don’t like the ground up beef feel. Not much taste. I was looking forward to a nice margarita and I got a dorty looking one with NO LIME. Like come on. So ya no need to go back.

I went with my neighbor who had gone eaten here before. The service was very good. The chips and salsa very nice and fresh. I like my salsa more chunky but this salsa is homemade and very good. We both ordered burritos. I had the chorizo which I enjoyed and my neighbor had the cerda. I like the lightly crunchy tortilla and I really liked the salsa Verde.
I will definitely go back to try more dishes so I can sample more dishes. The chimichanga looks so inviting.

Ive been coming here for almost 2 years. Its my to little spot! The service is great, some new nice waitresses came and they have been super nice. I can only complain about the cooks, not sure who is in charge of the cooking in the kitchen. I order the birria tacos with no cheese, since im allergic. Renata, my waitress made sure to let the cooks about this, but for some reason when I got my birria tacos they had some cheese. I told Renata this and she made sure to tell the cooks to make them with no cheese. Long story short, the cooks got angry and she had to tell the owner about the situation. Ive been here for years, so for this situation to happen, does make me question. Anywho I love this place and the atmosphere. Just wish the cooks took allergies more seriously.

This restaurant is a masterclass in how not to treat customers. From the moment we walked in, we were transparent five people, separate checks. Somehow that magically qualified us as a “large party,” triggering an automatic 20% gratuity that was never disclosed beforehand. When questioned, the staff’s response was as dismissive as it was unprofessional: “Do a chargeback, see if I care.” That alone tells you everything you need to know about their service standards.
As for the food, “authentic” is a generous stretch. The elote tasted like canned corn slathered in mayonnaise, and the rest of the dishes were aggressively mediocre. The only thing remotely commendable were the sauces — which, ironically, had more flavor than the service or atmosphere combined.
It’s astonishing that a place can claim authenticity while serving subpar food with a side of arrogance. If this establishment believes this is authentic Mexican cuisine, then Taco Bell should start preparing its Michelin acceptance speech.
Save yourself the disappointment there are plenty of places that understand authenticity is about respect, not attitude.
