We stopped here to eat. We all enjoyed our meal (group of 5 from ages 7-65). We were seated quickly and our server greeted us within a of couple minutes. Our server was polite and explained the menu well. Dietra checked on us frequently and was overall fabulous; she delivered amazing customer service. The salad bar was delicious and fresh with a lot of choices. The kids menu had good prices and their portions were large. Both the rueben and liver/onions were a hit. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. Even the restrooms were spotless with handcrafted soap/lotions. The atmosphere is a bit of modern touches with a nice country feel. I didn’t have time to explore the market or bakery, however, I’m looking forward to checking them out in the future. I’ll definitely be back to buy some art!

The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the food is good and fresh, they have amazing desserts, And if you happen to get Chloe as your server You’re going to have great service as well.

This is the place to be for a hearty, and delicious meal with a home cooked vibe. Phoebe made you feel like family. The hostess asked me about my day and wish me safe travels (because I am just passing through). Dutch Apple Pie with ice cream is the way to top it off. I am glad I waited till the last minute to take a rest stop. I will be back my next time through.

My son and I were very hungry after a day of adventure so we stopped by for dinner. We had a 20 minute wait which was no problem. We ended up ordering off the menu but wish we would have tried the buffet for more variety. I’m gluten free so my meal wasn’t pretty but it was good, I had turkey and mashed potatoes. My son had the million dollar spaghetti and loved it! The service was “meh” our server seemed a bit annoyed to be working. Overall, I would return but I would try the buffet next time.

Our service club had a wonderful experience at Der Dutchman. Janis works very hard to make your event perfect. She made sure the room setup was perfect and the food, oh the food is delicious! We had a delicious lunch at Der Dutchman Bellville on Tuesday October 28. The restaurant was not busy so I was worried the salad and hot buffets would not be fresh. They were very fresh! I love fried chicken but can’t find any that is still moist with a crispy crust that has flavor! Der Dutchman did not disappoint. Our server, Colleen, was lovely and very helpful. We were very satisfied after lunch with no room for pie. However we took two pieces home (peach and apple) and they were fantastic! We will visit again!
