Absolutely amazing sushi train experience!
Every single plate was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made — easily some of the best sushi we’ve had in a long time. The variety is great, from classic rolls to warm dishes and creative specials. You can tell they really care about quality here.

The colored-plate system (see photo) makes it super easy to keep track of prices, and everything felt very fair for what you get. Service was friendly and quick, with drinks topped up right away and empty plates cleared in no time.

We ended up with a tower of colorful plates at the end — definitely a good sign
Highly recommended for anyone who loves good sushi and a fun, relaxed atmosphere!

Have been here numerous times…sushi train every time. Staff are attentive and courteous, despite Byron obviously being a tourist hot spot. The plates are always of high quality and fresh. Will definitely visit again. It is on the expensive side, but that is to be expected, given the location etc

Delicious, fast and friendly. Our party of seven had a great dinner at the bar: sashimi from the train, delicious salmon sashimi, agadashi tofu, and yummy chicken ramen noodles.

I am a foodie and am experienced in japanese cuisine. The sushi here is an OK standard for a sushi train but has alot of missing elements. the standard is a touch higher than your sushi express type places but they charge premium sushi train prices. The value was definitely not there. Left after 4 plates after intending to scoff down 20.

At 65, I’ve been around long enough to know a good restaurant when I see one, and this place has charm, fresh fish, and a peaceful setting.

Service, however, Our waitress a young Peruvian girl seemed so tired & unbothered I worried I might have to tuck her in before dessert. She was wearing an discoloured white singlet didn’t grab her name, she appeared to have something stuck in her tooth, which kept making an unexpected appearance.

I’d happily come back for the food and atmosphere, and with a little more polish on the service, it could be a real gem.

To be honest I used really like this place but last night after spending over $100 for two people we both were terribly sick all night and had a gastric episode. I’ll think twice before eating there again. We had the kingfish carpaccio. Miso soup. Haloumi . Karage chicken and salmon avocado sushi . Hopefully the chef and management are aware of this post as I think it’s appalling that we were both unwell within 3 hours of eating there.

The tuna sashimi was very good. The miso soup was good. The rice was a little dry for my taste. The people were nice. It’s nice to sit indoors by an open window or outside. Definitely a place to go for sushi.

Very limited choice and that’s fine so long as the limited choice is top notch, but it isn’t. Very ordinary, and a top price is paid for ‘ordinary.’ I naively assumed if you were there for dinner and ordered from the menu it would be prepared fresh. I was a bit confused when the waitress advised me I could go inside and get more if I wanted more. Then, even though I’d ordered from the menu I was delivered plates from the train. Surely, if you’re not going to prepare freshly, you could take the items off all the little plates and serve them, nicely arranged. If I’d wanted a sushi train I would’ve sat at it, or better still gone elsewhere with more choice. The chicken teriyaki main wasn’t great, and the chicken was dry. The tobiko ship was very light on with roe. The spicy tuna nagiri was probably the highlight, but maybe just because it was a suitable helping for the money. The small spring rolls were mainly crispy pastry with a tasteless gloop inside.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
