We sat at that counter, facing the men preping the food. The shushi was amazing and tasty. The service was fast, and the environment was cozy as well. The only disappointment was their takiyoki balls that each had only one small piece of octopus inside.

Authentic, fresh, delicious. This is a gem of a sushi restaurant that is reminiscent of what you get in Tokyo. The prices are fair for what you get the Don rice bowls are the way to go here. Whether you go for chirashi or a single fish don, you will be pleased with your choices. My favorite was the negitoro, but you really can’t go wrong here. Come early for lunch or dinner because it gets packed.

Another great experience with Tomi Sushi. The entire family had a great time and agreed the food was great. Id definitely come back for more as there are a few more items on the menu I would like to try.

One of my favourite date night is four dollar sign omakase. But obviously that’s not realistic on a frequent basis. When I’m craving for one of those date nights but don’t want to spend four dollar signs, we go to Sushi Tomi!! We always know that we’ll be happy because that’s what Sushi Tomi is – reliable!

We always ONLY get their nigiris (from their a-la-carte nigiri menu, not the sets) and we sometimes think that the freshness of their fish rival other high end sushi restaurants. IMO this is the best way to eat here – only get their nigiri’s and try your best to order from their handwritten special fish menu. They probably make less money from fresh nigiri than a cooked bento box so that’s why I think it’s a better bang for your buck!! Their scallops and tuna are very good – the baseline for a good sushi spot 😉 Uni can vary sometimes but still very good for a day to day spot. We also love the Eel Roll!!!! We get it each time and I always alternate between the nigiri’s and the eel roll for the perfect bites! We’ve never tried their omakase as I enjoy selecting my preferred nigiris instead at a place like this.

Before going, set your expectations and know that it will usually be at least a 30 minute wait for weekend dinners. Though annoying, I think it’s a testament that I’m not the only one that think this is a great place! There is no online waitlist, you must be physically present to put your name down.

I find that the wait here is shorter than the Mountain View location and the atmosphere is more comfortable as it’s more spacious and quiet.

While I love the nigiri’s, a growth area for them is their service. They can be slow at times with getting items (such as chopsticks or refilling tea) but it doesn’t stop us from thinking that’s it’s one of our favourite spots!

Fantastic Restaurant, great service, delicious food, and very reasonably priced for Japanese food.
They are also gluten free friendly and I have eaten there twice without any issues as a Celiac. They do have gluten free tamari sauce and ensured my order was safe every time I’ve been there. I will be back.

Maybe it just what we ordered or couldn’t appreciate it (though we go to a lot of Japanese restaurants). But the charasi we ordered was pricey and small, with very thin slices of fish. The Udon bowls were likewise small …and, look, they literally offered a plain Udon — just noodles and broth. Not much variety. We just did enjoy ourselves here.

I was happy that they survived þhe pandemic as my family used to go here a lot. We went on a Sunday night. The seafoods (oysters, snow crabs, clamps, and fishes) are fresh and tasty. One of my friends was invested in the sashimi, while the others were in love with the clamps. The mango ice cream was our favorite end note. Not the best food in the world but definitely our top buffet place for the price they offer.

This place is very good, the quality of the food is good especially the sushi, according to my friend who studied in Japan!
I love the salmon, good texture of fish meat with very good flavor and fresh feelings, I also like the tempura, crunch outside but juicy inside!
The service is very good also, there is a cute girl she always comes to fill your tea. I accidentally knocked my tea over and she was there right away to help me, to give me tissues and towels, to tell me don’t worry, she is just so cute with a smile on always!
We would love to come back again!

A hole in the wall sushi spot. Okay food, but pricy for what it was worth. Good service. I ordered the “Katsudon” and my friend ordered several pieces of sushi. There weren’t labels on what each sushi is, so if you aren’t familiar, be sure to look it up beforehand.

For both dishes there is a large rice ratio, for me I prefer to have less of a rice ratio to my food. The service itself was good though and they check on you regularly. Wouldn’t come back mostly because I want to check out other restaurants near me.

Most restaurants located next to supermarkets tend to have good food. I give the food 9/10, it would have been a perfect score but the salad was old and still served. It was the brown old, and bitter salad that no one wants to eat. The dressing on the salad was so good gobbled it down.
