We went to Orleans on Main Bistreaux for our 20th anniversary, and everything was absolutely amazing.✨ The ambience was gorgeous, the food was incredible, and the entire staff, from the host to the owners, the chef and our wonderful waitress Hayley, was top notch. We started with the gumbo, then I had the fish of the day and my husband had the marinated chicken breast. We ended with the “to die for” pecan cheesecake. So good!!! We’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you so much for making our night so special!✨

Heard so much about this restaurant I couldn’t wait to go but very disappointed in the French onion soup that I ordered. I took two bites of it and sent it back. Told our server I didn’t like it. The bill came the French onion soup was still on the bill. On our way out I asked the waitress, “Why didn’t she take it off” and she said “she asked and she wasn’t allowed to” I had asked this question right in front of the owner‘s wife. You would’ve thought somebody would’ve asked me why I didn’t like the soup once I sent it back, and if not at that time, at least when I was leaving the restaurant asking the question. ‍♀️ Even the picture attached can show you how overdone it was. The bread was very sogging and it was so salty to the taste that nobody could’ve eaten it. I will say the stuffed mushrooms were good, but the cornbread wasn’t very good and my husband‘s pork chop was very salty as well.

To your response…….. the soup was already half gone when it got to the table, hence why I posted the picture I took as soon as it got there. All of the cheese and mushy bread was sent back, like I said I had 2 bites (small at that) and could not take the saltiness and burnt taste after that, good luck with your recipe! But again NO one came to the table to ASK me what was wrong with it.

Orleans has such a great ambiance! The food is just as pleasing to the eyes as it is to the palate. The crispy Brussels sprouts and crawfish cornbread are delicious, and the aged steaks are outstanding. We haven’t had a single dish here that wasn’t excellent!

This little hidden gem is so good, the food is top notch, the service is better than any high end resturaunts around and the atmosphere is amazing. This place has a real New Orleans feel in little ole Minden Louisiana! We will be back for sure

We absolutely loved our whole experience!! It is truly fine dining right here close to home! The oysters were amazing, the crawfish cornbread taste like some goodness you get in south Louisiana, and the Banana’s Foster tableside with Shug’s ice cream puts the cherry on top! Definitely a great place to enjoy a date night, a celebration, or just a lunch with coworkers.

7pm Walk-in diners on a Thursday and asked if we had reservations, then had to wait for a table.
Took awhile to get our appetizer and entree ordered. The prices are kinda high. They have a salad bar that you fix yourself. Side salad plates are very small saucers.
Ordered the crawfish cornbread appetizer which was the best thing we had all night, hardly any crawfish stuffing in it though, sweet cornbread mix btw for those who don’t like sweet cornbread. Ordered the soft shell crab, waitress came back over and asked if I want the crawfish étouffée or the blackened shrimp on it, I told her nothing on top to take away from the crab but she could put it on the side. She presented it to me as it came with my meal even tho I asked and mentioned to her that it didn’t state that on the menu.(I’m not sure if the other staff didn’t push her to get me to add it). Come check time, I was charged extra for the blackened shrimp. I asked the waitress about it and she said must have been an issue on the computer and she would take it off. She comes back over with the receipt and says” well looks like the shrimp are on me tonight”. I was leaving her a good tip before hand because of the situation but after that I was a little perturbed. I ended up leaving more so it would cover the loss she may encounter. Anyways, the blackened shrimp were the best part of my entree. The crab wasn’t that good. Gritty and super fishy on the body. Green beans needed salt/seasoning. Wife had the ribeye and mashed potatoes. It was decent. Overall, wouldn’t go back for the price and quality of the food. The atmosphere is nice, just a small space.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — the kind of place that instantly makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making sure every detail of the experience felt personal.

The cocktails were absolutely delicious — crafted with care and perfectly balanced. The salad bar was another highlight, fully stocked with fresh options and an impressive variety of dressings. The Mardi Gras dressing, in particular, was OUTSTANDING — bold, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve had before!

For my entrée, I had the blackened redfish with grits and asparagus, and it was perfection — the seasoning, the texture, and the presentation were all spot on. Every bite was full of flavor. I wish I had saved room for dessert, but that just gives me a great reason to come back. I’m already looking forward to my next visit — I know it won’t disappoint!

We couldn’t imagine a more perfect addition to our charming downtown Minden vibrant restaurant scene than Orleans on Main Bistreaux. As you enter the wrought iron gate, it’s as if you are magically transported into the heart of the New Orleans finest dining establishments. The ambience is complete with jazz, well-appointed decor, and the simplicity of elegance.

The creative, mouthwatering menu invites through a cornucopia of perfectly crafted options. The raw oysters were astoundingly fresh, cold and perfectly presented. The top-angus steak was not only properly cooked to order, the wood tray presentation was excellent.

We selected a baked potato and the vegetable of the day for our side. The squash was well-seasoned and cooked to the perfect texture.

We didn’t have desert or any cocktails as our current diet wouldn’t allow; however, seeing other indulge certainly has us craving our next visit so we can explore even more delectable options.

10 out of 10, and can’t believe we have such a fine dining experience offered right here in our hometown.

First visit, employees were super nice. Atmosphere was relaxed elegance. I ordered 20 oz ribeye med well garlic mashed potatoes and crawfish cornbread. Steak was closer to well and was mildly seasoned. Good taste but I will prefer to get my steaks at beau vines in Ruston. Potatoes were good. Crawfish cornbread was amazing. Will definitely get again. Bread choice was disappointing. Looking forward to getting other items to try especially the pork chop. Prices were reasonable and we will definitely go again.
