Talk about massive portions- one plate can feed two! I created my own omelette and had pancakes as a side. Food tasted great and wasn’t overdone with salt or spices. The servers were very attentive and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely a good breakfast spot.

We were visiting from out of town and brought our family to the Chalet for Saturday brunch.
I ordered the Monte Cristo which had some wonderfully crispy ham and the whole sandwich was prepared well. However, the jam was that kind of super sweet strawberry topping you get for ice cream and the side salad was iceberg with a tiny sparse amount of carrot with one tomato. Next time. I’ll stick to the home fries.

The current owner, a former employee, often appears a bit curt, but I wouldn’t let that influence your impression of the establishment. The rest of the staff are consistently kind and welcoming, and the food is classic diner fare – simple, hearty, and always delicious. My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood and just came here for breakfast. Absolutely amazing! Good food with big portions, homey environment, greeted with kindness. Overall a good little hole in the wall. I will be walking across the street and coming back here.

My hubby and I ate here earlier today. Our server and the lady who took our drink order were nice. The food was okay, but what really bothered me and the reason I won’t be back is the absolutely rude, vile woman “Debbie” working the cash register. She charged my card an extra $2 on top of what I agreed to add for the tip. I am pretty sure she scamming folks out of extra money on their card. She seemed surprised I even wanted the copy of my receipt. I should have asked her why she charged me extra and regret not looking back at my hand written receipt. I’m giving two stars just because the other people were nice and seemed to care.

Had the patty melt, meat was cooked perfectly with a good flavor, caramelized onion and fully melted cheese. Bread was just okay. Had a salad on the side, iceberg lettuce with plenty of options for salad dressing.
