Steer steakhouse in Elkins West Virginia is an excellent family eating experience.
Great food on the buffet includes a wide range of options for every person in the family.
Not only do they have a lot of comfort food but they have a lot of Hardy main dishes.
The people who work there keep the buffet looking beautiful and well-stocked.
We went there at 2:30 in the afternoon it was moderately busy and had everything freshly restocked.
Great salad bar and an amazing variety of desserts.
Excellent food and good homestyle atmosphere.

I stopped here on the evening of October 11, 2012 while cycling across the United States from New York to Los Angeles. I had dinner here — I remember it was a buffet, and the steak was all-you-can-eat, which was incredibly satisfying after a long day on the bike.
After the meal, I asked the staff if I could camp on the grass next to the restaurant, and they kindly gave me permission. I spent the night there, and the next morning the employees even allowed me to use the restaurant restroom before heading out.
I’m truly grateful for the food and the kindness. I hope I’ll have the chance to pass through again someday, enjoy the food once more, and relive those wonderful memories.

We love this place! It has great choices from the bar as well as things you can order. The salad is fresh and there are many options for desert. However, thos may be their last year. So, if you want to enjoy this experience, you better plan to in 2026.

Run down old diner, confusing way of ordering with no real waiter/waitress, costs extra for the “speciality” Buffett items. I paid $12 for the “Philly cheese steak” which was steakms and a couple craft singles on a hoagie bun. Luckily they gave me a couple mayonnaise packets that was the only flavor other than salt. My girlfriend got the seafood buffet which was nearly $30 and had about 5 options. All of which were mediocre at best. Horrible, I’d grab something off the rollers at 7 eleven first. Don’t go here.

Today I went there for there first time. There lunch buffet has a decent variety. There was a salad bar, a dessert bar, a main course bar, and an ice cream machine. Plenty of parking. I will definitely go back again!

Been there a couple of times. Food has always been good. Good selection on all you can eat bar. Salad bar was great! Tried a little of almost everything. Will return when in that area again. They also have a menu.

The food was terrible! Way overpriced (23.99) per person, and the quality and taste was subpar. The food was cold, the shrimp was water logged and for that price, I could have ate anywhere else in Elkins and actually enjoyed it. Don’t waste your time and most importantly your $ eating here!
