What a fun and lively night. The ambiance is lively, fun and welcoming. The food is exceptionally delicious. The drinks are impressive and potent. The service is attentive.
Amazing and memorable night.
Just go.
I stopped by Lark on Friday, January 9, to grab dinner before meeting friends for an early birthday celebration. The bar area was packed due to RuPaul’s Drag Race being on TV, so I sat at the bar since I was alone and didn’t want to take up a table.
I ordered the Chipotle Lime Chicken sandwich with tater tots—and the wait was excessive. The kitchen was moving extremely slowly, which was noticeable not only to me but to other patrons at the bar as well. When my food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The chicken was shredded and poorly presented, barely warm, and overall unappetizing. The dish was a complete miss, and I wouldn’t recommend ordering it.
As someone who has visited Lark multiple times, consistency and food quality clearly need attention. There are solid dishes—especially during brunch—but outside of that, I would proceed with caution.
I woulda have given 4 stars but the pop was flat, the food took a while, and the vibe was meh at best for a Sunday evening. The waiter was… well, certainly not fun or notably pleasant. But the 20% tip was the lowest default option during the “rapid checkout” he provided so he got that at least.
Nothing was glaringly bad, I just wouldn’t say anything about this was above average with the exception of the price tag. $96 for a pizza, a salad, 3 beers and Pepsi. I get that they’re getting by in an expensive part of town, but there wasn’t anything redeeming enough to bring us in again. That being said, it’s not bad if you want a decent bite in Boys Town.
The food is exceptional, with each dish showcasing culinary artistry. The flavors are bold and harmonious, creating a symphony of tastes.
The drag show is a highlight, featuring talented performers who entertain and engage the audience with their charisma and wit. The atmosphere is electric, with laughter and applause filling the air.
The service is generally attentive and friendly. However, during the transition to a different waiter, there was a brief moment of frustration, the reason for which was unclear. Nonetheless, the food and drinks more than made up for this minor inconvenience.
Overall, Lark Restaurant & Bar is a highly recommended destination for a memorable night out. The exceptional cuisine, lively drag show, and attentive service create an unforgettable experience that is well worth the 4.5-star rating.
