I really wanted to love this place. Small restaurants tug at my heartstrings. Location seemed decent, but parking was rough, given it was a Saturday night.

I love the walk in/take out places in Denver. It has all the old downtown charm I grew up with. Stickers layered on the door, the Westword sitting in a corner, a claw machine placed for the bored patron and an out-of-order ATM. It was a little dingy, but I feel like it’s typical of these kinds of restaurants.

There is very little room to stand or sit while you wait and it was particularly cold out when I came, so I got comfortable with my neighbors waiting for their pizza. The woman behind the counter wasn’t overly welcoming, but I figured they maybe busy with to-go orders.

I got home, excited to dive in.

Unfortunately, the garlic knots were mostly hard by the time I got home, but there were a few softer pieces which were very good. The spaghetti was run- of- the -mill with what I believe was canned sauce. I kind of expected a signature sauce. The calzone was very good, as were the wings.

I may give it a try again if I find myself in the area.

This spot won me over before I even tasted the food. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and the pasta dinner for two, and both were honestly so good. The chicken was soft and flavorful — no dry bites, just melt-in-your-mouth good — and the pasta tasted homemade, like something your mama or tia would make when you visit. Comfort food in the best way.
The whole place has a vibe — cozy, a little nostalgic, and it totally reminded me of New York, but tucked right here in Denver. The kind of place where you actually want to enjoy every bite.
It’s rare to find somewhere that feels this genuine — great food, great energy, and no fuss. I’ll definitely be back for the pizza next time.

Awesome spot, I felt like I had just stepped into a pizza parlor in Brooklyn. Great food and great staff. Very friendly and welcoming. I was a first time customer and they made me feel like a regular. I will definitely be back, I loved it. They also have a grateful dead stealie on the wall so that’s cool!

pizza is decent. mine were a little floppy, but that was remedied by reheating them to crispy in the oven. garlic knots were good too

The place is not easy to locate if you’re not familiar with the restaurant or area, even with the GPS, I had to circle around the back. The place it’s tiny, maybe 4 people can be inside at the same time. There are no tables, they have an ATM so I assume they don’t accept cards but not sure. We waited for about 12min and we’re the only customers. The food was mid.

Y’all, the wings are slapping, as my co-worker would say. I ordered the buffalo garlic parmesan, and they did not disappoint. I consider myself a bit of a wing connoisseur, and while I usually prefer boneless, these were just perfect. I love a saucy wing, and there was plenty to go around. Service was great, and they’ll match ‘Too Good To Go’ prices, which is awesome. I’ll definitely be back!

Ordered pasta and marinara sauce and the cheese pizza caught my eye when waiting for my food. I jad a bite and was transported to my days in NYC. Let me tell you that this pizza was exactly like a new york slice I missed from my favorite spot. Will definitely be visiting again

I have to be honest. That may have been the worst slice of pizza I’ve ever tried to eat. I tried to eat as much as I could because $4 is not a cheap slice, but I could only make it through 3 bites before I started feeling sick.

This was my second time trying their pizza because I live close by. The other night I went in for a slice, which was okay at best. I stopped by again today because of how close it is. But this afternoon, they were obviously selling old pizza from the day before (well hopefully it was only one day old). I think the picture speaks for itself, they had two trays with two slices each left on them. The slices on the top tray were notably fresher (but definitely not fresh), but before I could say anything the guy behind the counter grabbed a slice off the bottom tray and threw it in the oven.

What can I say, the cheese was gummy and difficult to chew, and had an off putting taste. The crust is dry and brittle, and the sauce was all dried up. I had to go get a soda after to wash the taste of old cheese out of my mouth.

It was obviously old, and as a cook by trade I can’t believe they’re actually selling this stuff to people.

Save your money, sliceworks is 3 blocks north at Colfax & Washington, and at least their pizza is fresh.

This is a cool little pizza joint. John and his crew are super accommodating the pizza is really really good the wings are awesome and if there’s any food accommodations or anything else that you need he’s always there to give a helping hand. They are very accommodating to persons with disabilities and I’m so grateful for that, I really hope that they can get some yummy dessert soon including some chocolate chip cookies. They also partner with too good to go which is amazing for those of Us Who have empty wallets and hungry bellies, we can get the food at an amazing discount while giving back to small local businesses like this one. Keep up the great work and I’ll be back soon.
