Really tasty food and well priced. Very nice people run this little restaurant and highly recommended. Enjoyed a great dinner sitting outside and a wonderful conversation with a local couple. Always a good sign when locals eat at a restaurant. Highly recommended.

Almost everytime we go around to Super U we need to stop by to Chay restaurant in Mont Vernon. Great food, the best salads, singapoore noodles, pad thai you can imagine. I love the food, staff (hi Regina) and everything about this place. One of the best thai food i have every eaten and with Tao Garden definitely one of the best thai food on the island.

The order was ready 25 minutes after they provided a notification that the food was ready, and there was a dish missing from the order. When I returned for the missing dish, no one spoke to me (no acknowledgement or comment on how long the wait would be), they just took my receipt and walked away. 15 minutes later I was handed the dish without rice (which was supposed to be included based on the menu item) and had to ask for that as well.
The food was delicious. Great flavour and good portions. Overall, great food, bad service.

I have been a regular at Chay’s Thai, but after today’s experience, I won’t be returning. The owner came to our table to take our order and immediately started off rudely by questioning why we brought a bottle of water. I politely explained it was for my daughter as she requires a specific brand, but instead of understanding, he kept getting louder and more aggressive. Despite us acknowledging his concern and trying to diffuse the situation, he continued to be rude and made a whole scene in front of other diners. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic customer respect is unacceptable. Very disappointed

We had an underwhelming experience here. Waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu. We asked about the available beers and he suggested Singha, saying it was Indian. Only later did we see they have SXM Beer on tap, and we always prefer a draft to bottled. Food came out tepid. The Pad Thai was extremely dark brown, like it had caramel dye, and very little other to it than linguine looking noodles. It took forever to get the check. Cannot recommend.

* Mostly of the food was good but truly expensive if you compare with another restaurant (located at Maho in front of a canadian university) for the same quality of food maybe better.
*Service was pretty bad. We called them in the phone to ask if the kitchen was still open and i didnt feel welcome and friendly. Worst when we were at the restaurant. The owner and his wife totally mediocre, only the grand mother take care of us well.

My Thai wife was really surprise to pay for 179 € ( around 220 $) (at the same time the wife muslim( i guess) who give us the bill start to be impatient and unpleasant leave fast the place with a car when we ask to double check the bill). The friendly grand mother come with a paper and a pen and check the bill with my wife, after 5 or 10 minutes to check the illegible bill my wife and the friendly grand mother correct the bill. They had overloaded 20 euros.
It’s the first time i review a restaurant but after a pretty busy day try to enjoy before the curview, i was on the bed of my hotel Grand Case Beach Hotel (very nice btw) and thinking how it was awful time in this restaurant. I ask my wife if she has the bill of the other thai restaurant located at Maho in front of the canadian university.

If you are hurry and want to eat good food, nice service and pretty nice view i advice you the french restaurant Roncho del sol. After 3 times, one with my parents, one with my best friend and one one with my wife i was very satisfied.
