Food was great I’ve come for breakfast lunch and dinner and they have a great selection. My favorite breakfast is the strawberry cheesecake filling pancakes with over medium eggs! My favorite entre is the chicken dumpling. I totally recommend, it’s so good with the gravy they use. The service is always so friendly and comforting. This place in particular had the fireplace lit, and it made me so happy to see, it’s the first time I ever see that in my life! Thank you for that little detail.

Maybe this was a “one off” but other parts to it tell me otherwise, hence the review. My food was awful. Pancakes: the 1st stack was ridiculously thin, so much so, I asked the waitress what’s with the pancakes and she said she’d check, was gone quite a while when she came back and said she couldn’t get an answer, by that time, I had taken a bite and they were undercooked, when she came back, I asked for fully cooked pancakes, what came back to my table after a LONG time was the same super thin(batter needs more baking soda), well done on the outside but even LESS done on the inside from the 1st stack, uneditable and honestly, gross. Bacon: I asked for extra crispy, what came out was the limpest most undercooked bacon I’ve ever seen. When I asked for crispy bacon, she said she would get a plate and take my bacon back but instead showed up with 3 new pieces of MORE limp bacon than the the 1st 3 pieces, when I objected to ALL the limp bacon, she took the 2nd 3 strips back and brought them back out shriveled and intentionally over cooked. Eggs: Not even worth describing how bad they were. While ALL this was going on, I noticed at least 1 manager type person who NEVER bothered, not once, to look out over the customers, let alone walk through the dining room to supervise that servers are doing the job their expected to do, that customers are happy, you know, leadership 101. I’ll head back to the restaurant at a less busy time to get a full refund, typically I’d let something like this go but as bad as my meal was, a refund is the LEAST they can/should do for me. In closing, I know it’s the Holidays(30Dec2025) and it’s hectic, busy, unforgiving but either do your job(server, line cook(s), management) or let someone else do it the way it should be done. I could manage/run this restaurant better with my eyes closed than it’s being run right now. You work at this CB and not a fan of my review, then provide a clean positive environment for customers to receive a quality meal for a fair price, or quit.

3/5 – Cracker Barrel: Where the Margarita Was About as Southern as a Can of Sprite Wearing Cowboy Boots
Well bless my heart and call me cornbread, I have had myself an experience at Cracker Barrel that I feel spiritually obligated to share with the good people of the South.
Let me start by painting y’all a picture:
I walked in with hope, the kind of hope only a Southerner can have when stepping into a restaurant famous for biscuits, rocking chairs, and décor that looks like your great-grandma’s attic had a yard sale. I was craving comfort food and maybe—just maybe—a margarita that would soothe my spirit like a front-porch breeze on a Sunday afternoon.
What I got… was not that.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ they didn’t try, but that margarita they brought me?
Honey.
Sweetheart.
Darlin’.
That was absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, a bottled margarita poured straight from a can like it was ashamed of itself and didn’t want to make eye contact with the sunlight.
You could taste the metal. You could taste the factory. I’m pretty sure if you listened closely, you could hear it whisper, “I was never meant for this life…”
The first sip hit me with all the warmth and charm of a convenience store drink you get on a road trip at 2 a.m. because everything else is closed. There wasn’t a hint of fresh lime, real tequila, or joy—just the unmistakable flavor of mass-produced disappointment with notes of “expiration date still intact.”
Now, Cracker Barrel knows food. They can make hashbrown casserole that’ll bring a grown man to tears. But this margarita?
This was the redheaded stepchild of the drink menu, and they know it.
The waitress handed it to me with the same expression you have when passing someone a casserole you accidentally burned.
Bless her heart, she tried to upsell it like it was handcrafted on somebody’s porch, but that drink tasted like it was handcrafted in aisle 7 of Dollar General.
And let’s talk presentation. The glass was sweating harder than a sinner in church. No salt rim, no lime, no garnish… just a sad, lonely drink sitting there like it knew it didn’t belong in Cracker Barrel OR in society.
But listen—did I drink it?
Of course I did.
My mama didn’t raise no quitter.
All in all, Cracker Barrel:
• Food? Still good.
• Service? Southern sweet.
• Margarita? A canned crisis.
If you want a real margarita, go anywhere else. But if you’re in the mood for nostalgia and a drink that tastes like betrayal, bless your heart—you found the right place.

Our waitress had 3 stars on her apron. I thought that meant 3 years of service. It wasn’t obvious. She never came and checked on us. We were drinking water. I tend to tip good because I’ve been there. Today, I could have tipped better but I couldn’t justify it. It was after 2pm, steady but not to busy. Not sure what was going on with her. Wife flagged her down for the water. Probably 10+ minutes later she came back with the pitcher. Just used to better service.

Let me start with I do not like cracker barrel. I’ve not been a fan for at least 10 years. That might have changed this last weekend. We had to drive to Tampa this week and decided to stay the night in Pensacola. My wife wanted cracker barrel as she still has faith in y’all but I sure didn’t want to go. Long story short we went and ate. I was impressed with the food and the service. Very professional and big portions. Well fast forward a week and we are leaving Tampa on our way home. We had our sites set on your Pensacola store. We even skipped lunch just to make sure we could finish out meal this time. Man was it worth the wait. Sophia was our server and she was very welcoming and friendly. Food came out hot and fast and man was it a lot. Manager Chris stopped by and I told him about my experience and thanked him for the hard work he put in to make this place run like this. He said it was a team effort and he is right. Only a team can create an environment that was this welcoming and friendly that I might actually have to change my mind about not liking cracker barrel. Long story I know, but a big shout out to this store and the managers here. They definitely hit it out of the park for me. As of now I’m a fan. I hope my local store can live up to my new expectation! P.s
Let the manager Chris know we made it home safe.

We went sunday afternoon for the fried chicken dinner special that is only sold on saturday and sunday. They were out if it so we orderd something else which was delicious. The waiter was wonderful and gave me a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit and apologize for my inconvience for not having the bone in chicken.

The layout here is much like most Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, but the service is a lot faster. We loved our breakfast here, the staff were friendly and attentive. I really like the biscuits here, hot and very fresh. The store portion is also nice with all sorts of souvenirs, toys, gifts and other items.
