Trace Way Restaurant truly blew me away! From the outside, it may look like just another small-town spot, but inside, it’s an explosion of flavor. I ordered the hamburger steak with grilled onions, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast, and everything was absolutely phenomenal.
The hamburger steak was seasoned to perfection—it had that homemade, love-filled flavor that’s so rare to find. The grilled onions were caramelized to perfection, adding a sweet touch, and the gravy? Hands down, the best I’ve had in years. The fries were thick, golden, and crispy, just how I like them.
I also tried the salad bar, and it was fresh and well-stocked, a great complement to the meal. Trace Way surprised me in all the best ways—this is comfort food at its finest. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!
Definitely a 5/5 experience. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Been eating here for years. Can’t beat the quality and price. I’ve known the family that has owned this outfit for years. They make you feel like they are your family. Good food and lots of love.

Great find! Across US82 from a high-speed DC electric car charger. So we had a nice lunch and charged up also. We agree with the prior reviews that the service was quick, friendly and attentive. Salad bar all fresh. I had a cheeseburger, spouse had the hamburger steak. Tasty, inexpensive. Not fancy but very nice.

Delicious Country Breakfast! We found Trace Way Restaurant on our road trip and couldn’t have been happier with this good ol’ country breakfast spot! The food was home-cooked and absolutely delicious—comforting and full of flavor. The service was friendly, fast, and made us feel right at home. If you’re in the area and craving a hearty, classic breakfast, Trace Way is definitely worth the stop!

Friend said the lunch buffet is pretty good. I needed gluten-free, so I got chicken strips, fries, and salad bar. Staff are fairly nice and accommodating- place needs a deep cleaning, seriously. Dusty blinds; grimy, smeared handprints on windows; filthy fan in ladies’ bathroom; dirty chairs and floors – was really surprised and disappointed to see this, because I love my home state and its people.

Always a great place to stop when traveling Highway 82 and not far off the Natchez Trace. Reasonably priced. We had catfish and fried chicken and salad. Taste was great!

I was riding my motorcycle on the Natchez Trace and decided to stop here for lunch. My meal was really good. I ordered the patty melt and fries and everything was hot and fresh.

I’m a local so I eat there regularly and I’ve never had a bad meal there; if you leave there hungry, it’s your fault because the portions are large; their prices are fair, actually on the low side. It’s a country diner so don’t expect fancy. Every town should have a place like this.
