A Seafood Gem in Florence
We had a fantastic dinner at L’Angelo Del Mar during our trip to Florence. The space is modern, crisp, and elegant, with a soothing palette of whites and blues that perfectly complements the upscale yet relaxed atmosphere.
Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. We started with tuna tartare and a shrimp and white bean appetizer—both fresh and delicious. The pastas were a highlight: lobster tagliatelle, spaghetti with clams, and a mussel pasta—each one better than the last.
For the main course, we shared a salt-baked bronzino and a roasted red snapper, served with grilled vegetables. Beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. We paired everything with a refreshing Vermentino recommended by our server.
Highly recommend for a memorable seafood experience in Florence!

Great, small and quiet tucked away little spot. For seafood enthusiasts! Somewhere to get away from the heaviness of Florentine beef and red wine, swapping it for lighter fresher rose and very fresh and well prepared seafood. Can tell a place is good when your company is predominantly locals enjoying a quiet meal. Menu was great, all the seafood was great. We didn’t quite have the appetite for the salt crusted fish, but the theater of serving was great and it looked delicious. Everything from bread to cantucci was made fresh. It was nice to enjoy a few courses without being at bursting point when leaving. Would definitely recommend as a change from typical fare. Considering the seafood it was very good value

One of the best seafood restaurants in Florence. They have a wonderful wine list as well. Make sure to make reservations in advance though as they have limited seating and is always booked up.

If you love seafood… look no further! We had the tasting menu and it was delight after delight of different fish prepared in different ways. Unlikely location for the outdoor tables, on a main road next to a bridge that reminded us of a scalextric set, with a Harley Davidson parked next to our table, but all part of the charm!

There are not many seafood places in FLorence. If you are tired of bistecca Fiorentina, take a taxi out here. Totally worth the trip. The mixed starters are unbelievable!!! Great food! Reserve in advance, they don’t have many tables.

We don’t like this restaurant in Firenze. The tastes too strong and oily. We found some bug in the salad… is it was disgusting… The staff is ok…

Good seafood restaurant! A bit on outskirts of the city, but worth the ride. It’s small relaxed and limoncello is amazing!

Not enough stars in the sky for this tiny (20) seat seafood palace. This was about our 10th visit. Food is exceptionally well conceived , prepared and presented. We often order the whole fish baked in salt. Did so this time and it was, as usual, perfectly cooked. The side vegetables display the care they give each ingredient. Each one is perfectly cooked – through but not the slightest mushiness ever. Wines are from a wide range of places and styles. Must reserve and worth it.
