I stopped here for breakfast about 15 minutes after they opened. There was no wait but as I left, business was picking up a lot so glad I came early.
The interior is very hip, gives hole in the wall skater vibes, but a little more mainstreamed.
I ordered the Savannah 912 and k-steak & egg. As well as one of their m&m cookies. The food was ready within 5 minutes and I took it to go.
The bagels were eaten while they were still warm, and they were both decent. The Savannah 912 just tasted like a good bacon egg and cheese. The ksteak and egg was also good, but I do wish there was more filling. Overall 7.5 out of 10. Decent bagels and lots of options, but the value was for sure lacking. About 30$ for 2 bagels that weren’t very filling just doesn’t feel worth it. Was hoping for more from hearing about this place but it was just alright. I will say I really liked the m&m cookie though. That was a 9/10.
Started the day with a trek around Forsyth Park and then headed south to Big Bon Bodega. Cassidy was friendly. I ordered the 912 breakfast sandwich and black drip coffee. Both were delicious and hit the spot. A simple but perfect way to start celebrating the anniversary of my birth. — drinking coffee at Big Bon Bodega.
Then we had the Cubanito. It was awful. I think they forgot the mustard aioli. It was awful. With out the mustard it just smells like it’s off (Rancid). Brie and pickles giving off fermented and funk. Rather take it off the menu than have it be so bad.
We then had the pizza. The truffle and hot honey pizzas. The wild truffle was quite nice and unique. But the pizza base might have needed a pre bake or the tray to be preheated as the dough under the heavy topping was raw. The pepperoni pizza was more cooked but pretty mid. Maybe slightly better than you’d get at a gas station.
The drinks were good.
Also. There is another post from today talking about a nice hot day. It was cold and raining. I going to report the sus AI comments to Google. They seem very paid for.
Could be a great spot. I hope they get serious or send their Triple D sign back to Guy. Because currently they don’t deserve it.
