Wonderful dining experience with tasty food and amazing house made sourdough faccacia and butter…I had so many pieces; it was addicting. Service was thoughtful and the environment was nice to eat in with pretty ambience. The drinks were expensive as expected and I really enjoyed the strawberry blossom. There is plenty of parking, which is surprising for the Canyon Road area. I hope to eat here again.

While visiting Santa Fe, we decided to try the Compound restaurant. The restaurant is tucked away in a residential neighborhood. Inviting ambience. To start, we ordered the butter squash risotto. This was excellent. For our entree, we decided to try the Dove Sole and beef tenderloin. The sole/fish was well cooked and season, not dry. Beef was moist and tender. But I think the real highlight was definitely our appetizer- butter squash risotto!

Bon appetite!

On a chilly winter Saturday evening, we had 7pm reservations. Arrived 5 mins early. Seated quickly, but not greeted warmly like the group before us. Didn’t offer to check our coats. We were the youngest people in the restaurant by about ~20 years. They sat us in the coldest corner of the dining room next to an old drafty wooden door. We asked to switch tables, and were moved to another drafty cold corner of another room by a really cold window, in the corner. You would think with 95% of their clientele being age 60+, they would want it warmer in there (lol). There were plenty of 2-tops we could have been seated at, but the host chose the crappiest coldest tables for us.

That experience put us both in a bad mood. Shame too, because the food & dessert was excellent. Service from our server was attentive. Duck pasta, short rib, onion rings, crème brûlée. All solid.

I don’t think I’d come back just for being treated less-than because we’re a bit younger than the usual crowd in there.

There are other James beard winners in Santa Fe I would happily return to

Delicious Food and excellent service. The swordfish was delicious and the stacked salad was so flavorful. Would recommend. Great consistent restaurant.

The Compound Restaurant is by far one of the best eateries in Santa Fe. All aspects of the experience are meticulously perfected to give the customers the best of the best. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, the glasses were always full, and the food was beyond amazing. They even went above and beyond to come up with an off menu mock-tail since I don’t drink.
The menu is pricey, this place is definitely “special occasion” kind of restaurant, but worth the expense for your special occasion.

I went there alone on a Wednesday at 1 p.m., no wait time. Lunch was great and service was fantastic. I got a window seat, the sunshine accompanied my meal the whole time. It felt warm and comfortable.

I didn’t have breakfast so I had a big lunch. I tried two entries: lobster salad and roasted salmon. Both really tasty. For dessert, I got the classic coke with ice cream. Fabulous.

I didn’t know the still water I ordered was $10 until I saw the bill, this is probably the only thing I regretted ordering. But overall, a great experience! I hope I can try dinner some time in the future as dinner will be an entire different menu.

I am a Santa Fe local and had an amazing experience at the compound with my nine-year-old son. The food was amazing! We got lobster cake, squash risotto, Lamb shank, and the crème brûlée. Every single thing exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and warm, especially considering the fact that I had a child with me. My son is a foodie and couldn’t stop raving about the food. We will definitely be back soon.

We have heard great things about this restaurant over the years. We finally made it there with some friends recently and it was an excellent experience. Everyone had a wonderful time and was satisfied with the whole dinner.

Our waiter was knowledgeable and professional. Every staff was efficient and helpful. And the food was creative and delicious. It’s a top notch restaurant and the prices align with the quality. Otherwise we would go back there frequently.
