Tenroku Sushi offers a fun and casual kaiten-style (conveyor belt) sushi experience right in the heart of Japantown. The presentation is colorful and appetizing—each plate neatly prepared and portioned.

The ikura gunkan was especially generous with roe, bursting with flavor. The seared salmon topped with spicy tuna and roe added a nice smoky richness, while the classic salmon nigiri was buttery and fresh. Sweet shrimp nigiri was plump and sweet, and the seared white fish had a delicate texture with a touch of yuzu or ponzu. The scallop sushi was tender and mild, and the maguro was lean and satisfying.

It’s not premium omakase, but for the price and convenience, Tenroku Sushi delivers solid value with plenty of variety. Great spot for a quick, tasty meal when exploring Japantown.

Friendly staff and they made great fresh sushi on demand. Creative and efficient. We came in within the last 30 minutes before the closing time. Sushi chef and staff made us feel welcome and kept serving us delicious sushi plates. The highlight was the baby octopus, fresh and crunchy. Chicken karaage was juicy and freshly made. Great taste and texture for all the dishes. They also did a great job searing the fish and scallop sushi. Excellent uni dishes as well. We ended with baked unagi sushi to wrap up the feast. Great value and taste.

Nice Experience, super faced paced and more like a fast pace sit down sushi restaurant. We went on a Saturday evening before our movie. They have some nice options and i like how quick it is for a quick meal! Staff is friendly but they look stressed because of the quick turnaround.

The sushi was okay and I had a bit of fish scales on the salmon in my mouth. It might be something they could pay a little more attention to. Overall, it’s a casual spot for conveyor belt sushi.

TLDR: above average sushi at an above average price (for sushi boat sushi)

I got six plates and it came out to $36 before tax and tip. That’s on average about $6 a plate. I did get one expensive o-toro for about $8.50 which was just ok, tasted a little fishy. My favorite was actually the tuna sashimi, it had two big chunks that were very good.

We always passed by this place and it’s always packed. Not today though! We got here at 4:30pm and there were plenty of seats available. The food were reasonably priced and tasted great. We liked everything we ordered.

The restaurant was small but clean. The waitresses were attentive to refill my water but not my husband’s tea 🙁

PS. Food was half eaten before we remembered to take a photo.

This place totally surprised me! I had my expectations low because I normally associate conveyor belt sushi with bad quality rolls that are filled with mayo and fried items. The items offered at Tenroku though was fresh, high quality and full of different nigiri options. I would actually come here for quality fish and not just the fun on the conveyor belt.

The intimate seating around the chef’s table reminded me of the small sushi joins in Japan and the waitress was great at constantly keeping of green tea cups filled and cleaning off the lids of the dishes that we piled up next to us.

My favourite spot in SF! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My boyfriend and I love this place, the fish is soooo good, the quality of it all is AMAZING, so fresh and well done, the OTORO sashimi/nigiri is by far the best one I’ve ever had, the chefs are the best! Mexicans who cook amazing and who treat their clients the best way possible, we try to go every week because is just, amazing, there’s not enough words to describe it and recomendations, just GO, we tried many many manyyyy places and this is by far the best, the best quality and attention! I’ve been goin for the last 2 years and no regrets, A MUST ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Conveyor belt sushi place that also serves Ramen. All the sushi is fairly priced and delicious, and the staff is fast and courteous. The ramen portions are HUGE, but not as delicious as the sushi. If you want a specific sushi, order it from their extensive menu and see it get made right in front of you! This place can get super packed at meal times, so come here early if you’re with a big group. Highly recommend this place!

More than the best.
I did not expect such authentic quality. Fishes including Maguro, Hirame, Hotate, and Uni were great. The taste and temperature of sushi rice are incredibly good✌️ The staff members are friendly and kind I really want to visit again to enjoy the higher quality sushi at a reasonable price, thank you
