Best Chinese food in the northwest suburbs. Gary and Jerry always make sure that the food is fantastic and great service is provided. A year’s hiatus due to the fire only makes me yearn for their food. Their hope is to reopen in the next month. I anxiously await with hungry taste buds.

I’ve eaten or had take-out here about 5-6 times. Owner is there to make sure everything runs smoothly. Food is consistently good. Wait staff is very polite and accommodating. Owner is very welcoming.

Don’t let the outside of this place full you this is the best Chinese restaurant I have found anywhere in this area. We are not from this area and travel all across the country and cry Chinese food places from coast to coast and this is one of the best. The crab rangoon here was the best that I have ever had and all of the dishes are spot-on perfect. To my way of thinking the food here is what all Chinese food places want to be and so rarely are. The ambience is great and the service was impeccable. Don’t miss this place give it a try.

First of all, my apologies for the half eaten plate, but there’s a purpose. I’ve eaten a lot of Chinese food, and honestly, sometimes the chicken is a little “suspicious”…not really having the appearance of chicken. That is not the case at New Mandarin Garden. They actually use real, white meat chicken. I believe it was the rib meat from the breast. And it was cooked very well…tender and moist. The breading was done well…not too thick and chewy. My only disappointment was the heat level of the General Tso’s. Im used to it being nice and spicy, but this one was rather mild. Very delicious nonetheless. The rice was seasoned and tender as well. I would have only given it 4 stars, but the EGG ROLLS!! WOW!! Big, perfectly fried, and stuffed with well seasoned pork and veggies! These are easily some of the best egg rolls I’ve had. As you can see in the photo, it’s already half eaten

Holy smokes this place is amazing! Beyond exceeded my expectations! You can tell the owner is passionate about his business – I am gluten free and had the empress shrimp – the dish was heavenly. My non gluten free husband had the orange beef which he loved as well! We will be back very soon! By far the best Chinese restaurant we have found in Michigan!

Been here a few times. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is always tasty no matter what i get. Nice atmosphere. Clean fish tank Didn’t get 5 stars overall because it is a little pricy vs. the amount of food you get, compared to other similar places. With Chinese you always have enough for leftovers, but the portions here are borderline ‘I can probably just eat it all here if i tried’.

The fortune in my fortune cookie was a bit ominous, but I don’t hold that against them. See the video for what im talking about….

Such a huge disappointment. We have ordered take out from here 3 times. Every time has been a huge disappointment. The first two times I got Pad Thai, it had at least an inch of liquid in the bottom. I figured it may have been my fault for ordering Thai from a Chinese restaurant. Today, I decided I would try something new, I ordered the Lo Mein, (to me) it was inedible. It looks nothing like Lo Mein…and it was also sitting in about half an inch of liquid.

Food was fresh and meat was cooked perfectly as well. The restaurant was renovated recently I guess and the interior is nice, it is crowded most of the times but has a lot of room to accommodate people. They were very friendly too.

My boyfriend enjoyed the empress chicken, he got it in mild. I found it to taste a little more like barbecue sauce smothered chicken. I ordered the lettuce wraps which were okay, the sauce was like a Concorde jelly? They use items most places usually wouldn’t throw in a lettuce wrap. I will return again and try something different, perhaps a different dish will persuade me to go 5 stars?
