I’ve went here 2 times so far. The first time was for lunch I ordered the smash burger and I can honestly say it was very good I would definitely recommend.
The second visit was for the dinner menu and I got an appetizer which was the fried Green Tomatoes and the entrée was the 10oz filet. The fried green tomatoes were phenomenal I would highly recommend. The filet was good. I would recommend the roasted sweet potatoes and wedge salad!

My husband and I were passing thru Wilson, NC-Forest Hills road in our way home to Virginia when we stumbled upon Jack’s Restaurant. It was not what I was expecting but much better. We were there for lunch. The hostess was very nice and seated us promptly. I had the Starburst martini suggested by our wonderful waitress “Natalie”! We both got the Philly steak with Cajun fries which were also a “Natalie” suggestion! She deserves some kudos and a raise. She does her job well…with an amazing smile and superb suggestions! The atmosphere was very nicely decorated and the restrooms were clean.

Enjoyed dinner at the bar! Had a wonderful, well cooked ribeye steak (14 oz), mashed potatoes, and broccoli. I would suggest the Jack’s Old Fashioned as you look over the menu!

Im not even upset that’s its a little pricey for most places in Wilson. It was absolutely worth it! Service, food absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts. Steak was perfect. Salad cold and fresh. A gem I’ve passed a million times going to the car wash next door. It was always early morning and I thought the place was abandoned lol. I was wrong! So wrong! Will definitely return.

I recently visited Jack’s restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The salmon I ordered was overly salty, making it difficult to enjoy, which was a real letdown given the price. The interior, while spacious, felt dated and didn’t match the high prices of the food. It didn’t have the ambiance I expected for the cost. For what they charge, I expected a more refined atmosphere and better-quality dishes. Definitely not worth it for the money.

This was the first time attending for a birthday celebration and was not impressed. Some of our food was cold and had to be sent back more than once. I had runny instant potatoes and cold green beans. The quantity was small for the prices. Quite a few other things were wrong. The service and atmosphere was great along with the drinks . Out of 15 people only 3 will return.

It was very Mid. The Tuscan chicken was not Tuscan at all. I make a much better Tuscan at home. Prices were way too expensive for the food, menu was pretty much non existent (super small) and it just wasn’t worth the price. I also didn’t like how they automatically include gratuity on 4 people and call it a large party…huh? So 2 adults and 2 kids is a large party? I’d rather spend this type of money on bonefish grill that’s worth the price. I wouldn’t go back or recommend

I haven’t eaten here since ownership changed, although, I have picked up several orders for others. Today, while waiting on a order, I witnessed, through the windows, where food is being made, the shorter gentleman, that wears glasses, popping bites of food into his mouth. All while still making food. Handling cheese and other food products bare handed, not wearing gloves. I hope nobody catches anything. I brought it to the hostess’s attention. Good luck everyone!

My husband and I were visiting the area and stopped at Jack’s restaurant. The building itself is decorated nicely, The hosts were pleasant and quick to seat us, The server was quick to get our drinks and our order also very Pleasant. My husband ordered the Smashburger with fries. I ordered the quesadilla with vegetables only. overall the food was buttery or greasy. The fries tasted like crab, was over salted and The Smashburgerwas wet as if the veggies were sitting in water.Overall, I would probably go back to try something different, but wouldn’t make it a special trip.

Great jumbo lump crab cake sandwich and excellent service. First time dining here and I would not have found it if it didn’t come highly recommended from a friend. It’s a hidden gem off the beaten path but well worth a trip. We chose to eat at the bar and the service was still good there and our waitress was very knowledgeable about their extensive bourbon selection. I can’t believe I have been coming to Wilson for years to eat and I have never been to this place. Plenty of seating and a nice clean cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend it!
