Made the one hour drive to R’z for a late lunch because we saw on FB that crawfish etoufee was on the menu. I love Cajun food. A generous serving of etoufee was served with rice. It was very good!
We’re not big dessert people but we ordered bread pudding and strawberry cheesecake. I’m glad we did! Both were delicious. R’z offers a wonderful dessert menu. The menu also offered Bananas Foster cheesecake. I’ll bet that’s delicious! Every time we visit, the service is great. Friendly people who make you feel at home and they are genuinely glad you’re there.

Literally everything we ate was amazing! Loaded potato soup, creamy, potatoes perfectly cooked and delicious. Spinach salad with warm dressing. Sad to say but it was better than my Mom’s! And the bread pudding with whiskey sauce.. thanks to that I’ll be needing the next bigger sized jeans. The sauce was delectable and plenty of it! Service was fantastic and super cool, historic atmosphere!
Come off the highway and find this place if you’re even close! If Mandy is working, ask for her! Full bar also and don’t pass on the dessert!

Quite simply one of my favorite breakfast and brunch spots of all time. The food – delicious. The prices – very reasonable. The menu – tons of options and fun things to try. The location – simply phenomenal. The building has a fun paint job too and is located in a neat part of fort branch. This place is just cozy and has great food and coffee. What more could you ask for?!

1 ordered an $8.00 burger and asked to make it a double patty, upon receiving my bill, they charged my another $8.00 for one extra patty(plus the .59 cents x2 to add mayo). I could have just ordered two burgers if I had know that – this is why I gave them 1-star and may never go back because of it(not a good idea to screw someone over in this economy).

My daughter and I stopped her for the first time. The things we tried were absolutely fantastic. I had fried mushrooms. The serving was huge. They had a light batter on them and were delicious. The potato skins were also large and great. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The desserts are easily large enough to share. All were amazing. Our server was on top of things and very friendly. The star of the show has to be Candy. She made you feel welcomed and appreciated. This is going to the top of my list of places to go back to. There are so many options on the menu that I want to try.

We love R’z Cafe. Food and service are always top notch. A few our favs are the Bourbon Bacon Pork Chop, Land and Sea Burger, Titan Burger, Loaded chips and the desserts are always amazing.
Editing to add some more pictures from our most recent visit. My cousin and his wife just moved back to town from the North Dakota/Montana area. They chose a spot in Haubstadt so of course we had to set a dinner night and take them to R’z. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We had reservations for 7pm (thanks Dano) and got our table right away. As always, the server was off the charts and made sure we had everything we needed. Switched it up from our normal appetizers and went with the breaded mushrooms and the firecracker chips and dip. Both were phenomenal. The serving size of mushrooms was enough for all 4 of us and the firecracker dip was absolutely amazing. I had the Meatloaf Stack and the wife had the Chicken Florentine. Both dishes were very good and what we have come to expect dinning at R’z. My cousin had the all you can eat catfish and his wife had the Mahi Mahi. Sorry, no pics of those 2. They stated both dishes were very good and that the Mahi Mahi was best they have had. For dessert we went with Death by Chocolate and our diner partners went with Death by Peanut Butter. Both were very good and are basically our go to. Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem in Fort Branch. Worth the drive and the wait for a table.
