A very important heads-up: If your palate is only for Tex-Mex (like Two Senoritas or Jalapeño Tree), this is NOT the food for you.
This is REAL, authentic Mexican food, and it is the absolute best in town. The quesabirria is the best I have ever tried, anywhere. The street tacos are perfect, and the green sauce is incredible.
It doesn’t stop there. They somehow also have the best roasted chicken, best baked potatoes, and the best hamburger in town. Everything they make is 5-star.

First time coming here, we walk in and the salsa bar didn’t look kept up with, the pico was saddening and the limes were dried up. When we asked what vegetables came on the torta the worker told us, tomatoes and lettuce came on it, the worker didn’t mention or know that it also came with avocados or onions, thank goodness we weren’t allergic.. the workers should know the menu. Then I ordered the half chicken meal and was given the option of 2 salsas, and there was 4 at the bar (that may be normal in not sure), I then asked which one was spicer and was told the red, which was not true, the green was spicer and I got all red cause I thought that was the spicy one because again, another team member didn’t know the food or menu. While picking out my salsa which is more like water and tomato for the red one, he’s going through the whole fridge to find a “good few” cups which raises red flags as a customer especially cause the fridge was full of cups of salsa. When I go to eat, the beans were quarter grease and had no flavor, the corn tortillas looked like they were heated in a microwave and my chicken didn’t come with the jalapeños the photos clearly showed. Overall underwhelming experience, but the dessert options were pretty cool, and the chicken wasn’t bad, and the torta was good, apart from the lack of knowledge with the staff team.

The food at Pollo Bueno was amazing, but the customer service completely ruined the experience. I went to dine in with my family around 3:00pm The girl with red hair was extremely unprofessional and rude. She acted like helping customers was a bother, didn’t communicate clearly, and made the whole interaction uncomfortable.
It’s disappointing because the food is great, but customer service matters just as much. Hopefully management sees this and takes action, because no customer deserves to be treated that way.

Worse customer service I had in so long. I went to eat with my family at 2:30sh pm. The lady with The red hair and the piercing on her nose. Had the worse customer service ever she had a serious face like if she was force to work here she kept telling us what else what else didn’t even let me finish my order and at the end she ended up getting my order wrong never coming back to this place and if ya’ll keep hiring people like that this place will be going down…

I ordered Taco Buenos, my intention was to order 3 tacos, beans, and rice. I received 5 tacos, no beans/ no rice.
I ordered 1 steak, 1 pastor, and 1 barbacoa. The barbacoa meat is dry, (photo)
I am pretty sure I got chicken tacos instead of pastor, I mean, it taste like chicken, looks like chicken, no pineapple… (photo)
Pollo Bueno is cooking with sweet onions, which for me is weird -not for taco pastor it’s not, but for carne asada, or barbacoa it seems weird to me.
They do serve beer here, no Queso Blanco, and you know I want my Queso Blanco and beer.
It’s self serve for chips and dine in only on those chips.
This is like a taco bell as far as service and presentation goes, food is more authentic than taco bell, but not what I was expecting coming in my first time. If the barbacoa wouldn’t have been so dry I probably would have given 3 stars cause the food isn’t horrible.
I would advise staff to ask more questions and listen better.

Hated our experience the first time. (When they first opened.) LOVE IT NOW! The food has made leaps and bounds of progress. Heard they had quesabirria and had to try them. Very nice. Not the best but good. The consume was flavorless. (Go see Arandiz. 😉 ) Street tacos were good. Big issue was they ran out of their free unlimited chips at the BEGINNING of dinner rush on a Saturday…. like HOW?? But all and all was good. Stuffed churros were hot fresh and delicious as well!

The food was OK I’m not gonna lie, but the service was horrible. The one chubby girl with the overly done eyelashes had an attitude since the beginning.. honestly, you find better prices. Good food way better service across the street at the Mexican supermarket super bueno. This is a sincere review. I didn’t totally hate the food. It wasn’t bad but the service was just horrible.. I spent $50 for two chickens just to get attitude from that girl.

Would have given higher marks but the staff isn’t friendly (to non Hispanic people) and they won’t let you get the good salsa from the bar for take out orders. Which is disappointing since the habanero sauce is really good! The dining area is generally clean but not always.
