My goodness the food here is so good. I had the turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy and it tasted like a home cooked meal. My wife tried the daily special, a turkey pesto sandwich with a pasta salad side. Everything seemed to be made in house and it was all so good!

The Cateye Café is one of my personal favorites here in Bozeman! The aesthetics are so quaint and cozy, the food is always delicious, and the staff are vibrant with personality and are very sweet! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat some yummy breakfast and take in some great vibes!

Stopped in on my way to Washington. First off Bozeman is the cutest little town. Its adorable and I would love to come back. If I do I will definitely stop at this quaint lil breakfast place again. Good food, I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Their home fries or house potatoes are well seasoned and tasty. The service was great. The coffee is bold and fresh. If you’re a cat lover you should definitely drop in! The entire cafe is cat themed and they have the cutest cat related decor all around the place. Its adorable! Located in a great spot near other cute shops. Its convenient and good for people watching.I recommend the Cateye Cafe!

When in town for a wedding, a friend recommended a breakfast joint down the way that ended up being closed and thank goodness they were!!! because then we stumbled up on Cateye Cafe a couple blocks down main street. We added our name to their call out sheet and only waited about 15 minutes?
The staff was busting butt running around crazy, but you wouldn’t know they were busy because their service was very efficient and they were all light hearted and happy to be helping.
The food was DELICIOUS and had a homemade quality to it- 10/10!!
My favorite part and what will keep us coming back whenever in town, was the atmosphere- you look around and not a single person was on their phone because at each table is playing cards, trivia games, little trinkets and more. Cateye truly provides a space to connect with each other, laugh and enjoy the moment. Cateye’s got something good going, don’t miss out!

This place showcases the classic charm of Bozeman. I’m not from here, but we stopped in thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere and character this old restaurant possesses. I can tell Bozeman has exploded in growth in recent years but seeing places like this one shows that there’s still the humble beginnings.

Really enjoyed our visit for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We ordered a breakfast special which was a huckleberry strawberry cream cheese stuffed croissant French toast , and it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy which was so tasty too! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff was efficient and friendly. Great spot.

Fun menu and good food.
We had the Popeye and the Cowgirl. Both were good, although the banana bread French toast was a little disappointing as it did not have as much flavor as expected.
Go early as they get busy.

Our favorite breakfast place in Bozeman! Giant mimosas and a lot to choose from. Also lots of choices for breakfast but our go to are the Catastrophe and The Witch. But I’ll bet anything is great.  They also serve lunch. Get there early on the weekend to avoid a wait. Don’t forget your cateye glasses!

Went here for breakfast and the food was quick to come out and tasted great. The huckleberry mimosa was delicious. The cat pancakes were cute. Seating inside is a little cramped but I like the atmosphere. Definitely want to get there early as we had to stand on stairs to wait for table. Friendly service. Would go again.

every time i’ve come here it’s been the worst service, terrible proportions, and super expensive.

first experience was a little after covid times, a friend and i had come for breakfast of course, they sat us at a nice little two person table as it was just the two of us and then as soon as we’re ready to order they ask us to move, so we move to a much bigger table, and then they walk up with a couple and verbatim say “oh, did we not tell you? this is the community table” mind you covid was still going on and we would’ve been much more comfortable being at our own table instead of sharing one with people we didn’t know. whatever i don’t remember how the food was so must’ve not been too great.

second time was better, 2024 same friend and i go as she loves this place for some odd reason so i agree to go, i got like 1/3 of a potato the smallest eggs and 2 small pieces of sausage and a mimosa (literally just tasted like a glass of champagne with a tiny hint of huckleberry which i paid extra for lol), and breakfast ended up being 68 dollars total for the both of us (she got the same thing plus a brownie or some baked good) idk i could have made a better breakfast at home for way cheaper + much more food

the last time i went was last month i wanna say, boyfriend and i went and i decided to give it one more shot. breakfast was decent but tiny proportions once again and nothing too special, i will say their blueberry pancake or whatever it was was absolutely delicious, however service was crappy. i get the place is busy but good service makes all the difference a smile or asking how our food was would’ve been nice. we get the bill and it was 70 dollars?? i wasn’t very happy with breakfast or my drink or service or how pricey it was for the smallest proportion so i did not tip and we left. i check my bank a couple of days later and see that i was charged nearly 80 dollars? i called and they said they do a 3% hold automatically but that “someone must have been going fast” and “filled it out wrong” so basically admitting a tip was added? idk i had to call and email the owner and all i was offered was a 7 dollar refund, when i asked for my receipt to just get it disputed through my bank they told me they “didn’t have it” and i’ve heard nothing back since, so ive given up.

and the flies. disgusting. read the other reviews you’ll see it’s clearly been an issue. i get it’s a restaurant and stuff like that happens but i feel way less grimey and gross at nova cafe, better proportions and price and service.
