The thing that ruined it, was that after I had already paid and DID NOT even ask about it. The cashier I guess had noticed my hat (a grunt style hat my dad bought me years ago that I wear when I’m around him sometimes since it was a gift) that said “veteran” on it. The cashier out of nowhere felt the need to inform me that “we don’t offer military discount by the way”. Most places don’t offer military discount, so I never ask anyways. Even in my own state I don’t ask since I prefer to cook my own food at home and not bother wasting money on takeout.
Like I said, I would’ve given this an easy 5 star review since the cashier was helpful and the food came out so fast and exactly as ordered. But the cashier, at the very end of my transaction, being presumptuous and assuming I was going to ask for a military discount(honestly most of us don’t even ask), after I already paid for my food. It struck me as completely rude on the cashier’s part and just ruined the experience. Especially for an establishment I’ve enjoyed since I was a kid going into any Yoshinoya.
Update: The last couple times I was here, they were understaffed. They had one person at the counter running both the register and the pass. They were bagging food after each order. This would not be so bad if they had a self-serve kiosk where you can put in your order, but they don’t. Fast food in CA is no longer fast.
Parking lot in connected to the rest of the mall. It’s pretty easy to navigate. I went before the grand-reopening that’s why they have balloons.
Always use coupons. Saves $$$$$
Been to this Yoshinoya a couple times before, and I’m proud to say that I always leave satisfied! Today I had ordered a bowl, and a bunch of tempura shrimp, and it all came out in a reasonable time and was very fresh. I was also feeling a bit lonely, so one of the Crew Members working behind the counter actually sat and ate with me!
Amazing customer service from William, should defenitly give him a raise, and I will always be returning to this location!
