Today I visited Dos Toros Taqueria in Washington, D.C., and the experience was excellent. Wendy took great care of me — very friendly and attentive — and the food was delicious. I had a bowl with Mexican rice, pico de gallo, and steak that, to me, tasted very similar to arrachera. It was really good! The place was also very clean, and the whole team works together like a true family, which makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. For me, coming all the way from Wisconsin, it’s something special to find a place like this, with Hispanic staff who make you feel at home. That warmth is definitely what will bring me back. It rivals chipotle. Wished they had plantains tho, I had a bowl it was very good, place was cleaner than expected considering the location. Service was bi lingual too. I liked their choices of rice and proteins. One cool detail is that they had the tortilla crumbs and also the forks were made out of plant starch to save the planet. Overall a great spot .

I always go in the morning for the chorizo breakfast burrito because it’s freaking amazing!! And the restaurant isn’t crowded in the morning like it is at lunchtime. If you want to find out how popular Dos Torros is, go between 12-2pm! Good luck! If you want time and attention to detail (you get this during lunch too, but it’s faster pace), and a little more space to walk around and maybe sit for a few minutes, then go during breakfast! The food is just as good if not better and the staff is excellent and fresh to start the day!!

The most convenient and delicious surprise! I have visited a couple times now on trips to the nearby museums and have been delighted every time! It’s a little loud and busy, but the line moves quick and I’ve always been able to find seating! The food is beyond delicious! Better than its competitors in my opinion for sure.
