Having long been a lover of khachapouris I couldn’t wait to try a restaurant that specializes in them, and Cheeseboat met my every expectation! The host, servers, and bartender were friendly despite its being a busy Saturday, and were very knowledgeable about the menu and Georgian cuisine in general. Beverage-wise, I started with a Marani Brut and wanted another but they had run out so the bartender asked about what I’d ordered and personally recommended an orange wine that ended up being a great pairing. I got the Leek It!, which initially looked to be mostly bread but it had SO MUCH CHEESE inside, making it very good value for the money. The atmosphere is comfortable but lively, and I love the wall murals. I’ll be coming back repeatedly to keep working my way through the menu.

In an effort to bypass the wait, we decided on an early dinner for our party of 6. This was my first time at a Georgian restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised at an awesome meal.To start we got a Kartvelian salad, Homemade Hummus, and the Pickled vegetables. I wasn’t a fan of the pickled veggies, but that’s okay, I don’t choose pickled anything hardly ever. We ordered our main course family style, everything shared. We got the Khinkali, Lamb Chakapuli, Steak and Mushroom Cheeseboat, and the Prosciutto Cheeseboat. All tasty but my favorite was the lamb and the steak. For dessert, the six of us shared two Napoleons. Wow, you gotta save room for that. And for drinks we ordered the Georgian Lemonade (pear, tarr, and cream soda). I spent the next few days looking for the Zandukeli pear lemonade which was so good! Heads-up, this is a restaurant that will not hurry you out. You’ll need to request the bill at the end of your night.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and hospitality. We’re from Boston, and our Georgian friend brings us here whenever we’re in NYC. The food is delicious and fresh, and the people who work there are exceptionally kind and hospitable. Highly recommend!

I have tried a few Georgian restaurants in the city. This one is by far the best one. Very cozy atmosphere with delicious food. Khinkalli and kebabs were amazing. I got to test a Cognac with the staff that was recently imported from Georgia. Amazing people, amazing place and amazing food.

Always down to try Georgian food, this time for a quick dinner.
The khachapuri (cheeseboat) was average size but tasty. I would say it’s good enough for 2 people if you don’t eat much.
The atmosphere is great, so it’s the decor. We were taken to our table really quickly and the server was very attentive.
The Georgian soda pear flavor is definitely a must try at any Georgian restaurant.

As a traveler, I was recommended this spot by one of my friends and a Uber driver, since I heard about it more than once, we had to try it out. It was not disappointing, especially if you like cheese! They do have reservations, and walk-ins if there is space available.

We were visiting Hells Kitchen and I was so excited to eat Georgian food. The khachapouri did not disappoint. The restaurant is true to its name in that the majority of its menu is interesting cheeseboat combinations. I had a hard time deciding!! I went with the classic and oh my goodness was it divine. My husband got the steak one. Perfectly cheesy and the egg yolk in the middle makes it heavenly. I also had Georgian soda and it was so delicious. I wish we could eat here more often. We found a table very quickly and we even had a stroller with us for our son and they were very helpful and obliging. The cooks and waiter staff were so sweet in giving our son attention and waving at him. Such a wonderful experience!

Delicious, authentic Georgian food. Service was friendly and attentive. The cheeseboat was indeed very cheesy, rich and delicious. The borscht was warm and hearty. We also tried the kompot, which was lightly sweet and refreshing!

Excellent food – I’m so happy to have tried Georgian food for the first time.
My server was a wonderfully kind man. He also let me order a third of a portion of their dumplings entree so that I could try that and something else (I was by myself).

Absolutely delicious! It was my first time tasting Georgian cuisine and it will not be my last. We split 3 dishes between 2 and it was plenty. We got a salad, dumplings, and a cheeseboat. The highlight of the meal was their Georgian Lemonade – peach flavor. Amazing!
