So I’ve been to a lot of Japanese restaurants in Northeast Wisconsin, so some of my criticisms may be things people who don’t frequent these kind of places would notice. Ordered a hibatchi meal, a medium rare steak was cooked medium well to well done. You have to request yum yum sauce for the hibatchi and it was overly seeet. Rice was OK, vegetables were cooked nice. There is a other Japanese restaurant in town that does a better job at the food side of things. Sakura is newly remodeled and the atmosphere was OK, note this isn’t a high end dining experience (napkin dispenser on table, paper napkin wrapped silverware )

I have eaten here a few times and everything has been good. So last night I ordered delivery (see picture, started eating before I took it) and it was also fantastic. We had 2 bento boxes. They have a very extensive Thai/oriental menu including sushi, hibachi, noodle bowls, and curry.

Greeted right when I entered. Place was very clean. Food was brought to me to go. Very wide variety on menu. Food was good and fresh.

Had the Beef Bento Box, lunch special. Delicious and affordable. Also tried the fried cheesecake. Okay, but next time I’m ordering the regular cheesecake. Service was very good.

Amazing place! The staff is so nice and very attentive. Sushi was fresh and not only tasted great it visually was beautiful. I got the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy salmon roll. The lunch deals are also awesome!! Best sushi place I was ever at! Will be going back a lot more!

So far I’ve tried the sushi, hibachi, and fried rice each on multiple occasions.
I’ll compare to Tokyo sushi steakhouse since it’s another local place.
The sushi was almost warm, and I felt it had less flavor than it should. I ended up getting sick both times I had it. Hibachi was lacking in flavor as well. Portions were smaller than Tokyo, and didn’t include any side sauces. Salad that was included looked like it had been sitting for a day or two in the fridge, with browned lettuce. The overall meal wasn’t terrible, but knowing I could get a better version from Tokyo at the same price was disheartning. As for the fried rice, I definitely prefer the cut and quality of the beef from Sakura. However the rice was quite oily. The Sakura fried rice had a lot of nice crunchy onion, if that’s your thing. Personally I prefer no onions. It seems the veggie variety at Tokyo is better.
Overall I love that they deliver and have decent customer service, but for the prices And quality levels, I’d rather shop around.
