Raving review for great food and AMAZING service! My fiancé drives all over the country. He was stopping in town on his way from our home in Kentucky to his stop in Colorado. He’d had a very long day on the road and hadn’t eaten in nearly 12 hours. I search Google maps to find good restaurants when he’s on the road. Today I found Pete’s. With it being New Year’s Eve and him driving a LARGE truck, we weren’t sure it would be a possibility. I called and spoke with very nice fella named Mike who assured me they would make it happen for him. Mike stayed on the phone with me, gave personal suggestions and started his order so he wouldn’t have to wait long and even helped advise him on parking his rig. He had the gyro salad and the meatballs and said the food was incredible…even if they were out of my baklava (I had to Mike). They took care of him, got him fed and even met him at his truck with his drink to-go. This will definitely be a repeat trip cause I’m going next time!! Customer service and personality goes so far these days and it is truly appreciated!

The crab cakes were disappointing, but the Greek salad was delicious. I ordered the salmon which was very salty. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and said it was very good! I recommend staying away from the seafood and going with basic diner options. The menu has a large assortment of dishes including many sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, and steak. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere was cozy and nice.

Looking for a home town meal? This is a fun restaurant with lots of variety to choose from. The pizzas are a great choice, and I personally love the salmon. We had an excellent waitress (Alex) tonight who made our late evening dinner enjoyable. And don’t forget the baklava.. it’s well worth the time for dessert!

We parked in the back parking lot and went in that way. The hallway was narrow and short. Not a positive start for someone with slight claustrophobia. Upon arrival at the hostess stand, the hostess had her back to us and ignored the efforts of her coworker trying to get her to turn around. After being seated we were tended to quickly. The waitress was very attentive at first until we got our order in. After that, drinks went and stayed dry for a while. For appetizers we chose the meatballs (which my gf loves) and saganaki (a hard cheese that doesn’t melt but was set afire right at the table, with pita chips. Had a slight olive taste to it). She had pastitsia. This is close to a Shepards pie. It has mashed potatoes on top with ground beef as a second layer and penne pasta as the base. It is then surrounded by red sauce and a bechemel sauce. She believes that the bechemel sauce was absent from hers though. Both of our thoughts on it was MEH. It had really bland taste to it except for the red sauce. I had the mamalina. It is a chicken and oenne pasta with a white wine sauce. After getting past the tang of the wine at first, it had good flavor and tasted better as I ate. Over all not bad. We would go back.

Good food, just bad service.

Business was slow due to a college senior event and was in a group of 6.

Our waiter was great, but the hostess did not create a welcoming first impression. We were told the wait would be about an hour, so we added our name and number to the list and were told we’d receive a call when our table was ready. That call never came.

As the hour passed, we noticed multiple groups of 2–4 being seated. When we tried to ask if our table was ready, the hostess walked away mid-conversation just to return to tell us it was available.

Once seated, we saw three large tables– two already set up for a bigger party—one of them still dirty—so it’s unclear how long those tables had actually been ready. Waiting nearly an hour with no updates, especially while watching several other parties arrive and leave before we were seated, was incredibly frustrating.

As a host, you’re the first point of contact for guests, and not greeting anyone, not smiling, and walking away in the middle of a customer’s question comes across as unprofessional.

Atmosphere was pretty calm and low in noise.

Our server was great. Very attentive. The food however was awful. The name… holds “steakhouse” is completely inaccurate. Ordered a steak and both times came out incorrectly cooked (ordered medium… first came out well done, second was rare) at this point realizing whoever is making steaks cannot make them to temperature. The burger we ordered had an odd flavor/texture. Not sure if meat was bad however did not eat it either after taking first bite. Really had high hopes after seeing other reviews but was disappointed.

Absolute worse for the money. The drink did not taste like there was any alcohol. My salad consisted of lettuce and 4 cheese slivers. After waiting 35 minutes for appetizer, was informed kitchen thought they already made it so they will hurry and make. 10 minutes later appetizer was okay but definately not worth the price. Approx an hour and 15 minutes and we received our meal. I ordered a 4 piece chicken for $14.00. I received a chenoble wing and leg and not sure what the other 2 pieces were. Chicken tasted burnt and dry. 1 bite was enough. Not going to eat anymore. I have 2 dogs at home that do not mind dry burnt chicken. Husband had chicken marsella. It was dry, covered in gravy and flour. Would not order again. My garlic bread was greasy and not toasted. Waitstaff was fine but nothing was worth the price. Definately will not be back.

My friend and I stopped in to eat here when we took a trip to Atchison KS last week for our birthdays.. The atmosphere was comfy, the owner was a delight, she had a cute story and the most beautiful accent, she’s Greek. I ordered the Chicken Madeira.. It was one of the best chicken dishes I’ve ever had, we also had a lavender Martini, my first Martini ever and never had a lavender one.. LOL.. it was delicious. The owners own special drink. I would recommend anyone to stop in and go back again and again was well worth it.
