SO good. Such sweet staff and delicious food! I went twice on my 1.5 day trip to Provincetown. The egg tarts, fruit tarts, and breakfast sandwiches are all top tier. 50/10. The clinic next door has a deal where you get a $5 bakery gift card with free STI testing. Gathered me right up. I’ll be back. Tuesday is such a gem!

Yes, it’s really all about the malasadda. Perfectly crispy fried and sugar coated outside, soft and chewy inside. Why stop there, though? This is a true Portuguese bakery. Get a coffee to go and indulge in the pasteis de nata, the classic Portuguese pastry, and the bolas de Berlin, a Bavarian cream filled Portuguese donut. How’s that for fusion food!? #DoOrDonut #HalfBaked (Visited 8/11/25)

Absolutely phenomenal food. I got a ham and cheese croissant, and a banana nut muffin. I totally loved both! I will be back!

This Portuguese bakery is an institution here in the town of Provincetown. Wonderful breakfast sandwiches. Wonderful baked goods of all kinds. Wonderful staff. It is a true classic. The inside café is simple, modest, and clean. If they are available, try the malassadas, a traditional Portuguese treat of deep fried though, dusted with sugar. Thank you to all the folks at the Portuguese bakery!

Extra special service with deliciousness in everything here. The bakery is amazing. We ordered fried dough with sugar and a blondie. Then, as we chatted with other customers about the eclair filling, the baker brought us each a taste to try. Extraordinary effort and generosity! I’m giving it a rare (for me) 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Not just for breakfast, but, no better place for it! Linguica egg cheese cheerfully grilled by the grill goddess. Parmesan leek croissant from the tantalizing bakery display, custard cups for later, and, friendly service. The best!

The smell brought me into this store. Fried dough. But the baklava got me to buy. The Lula’s is a whipped creme topping on a pastry. Sadly the whipped topping was tasteless. And the topping doesn’t go in all the way… fell flat. Next was the chocolate chip meringue cookies. I only bought one. Is wasn’t crazy sugary. But relaxing good. With flavors as it melts in one’s mouth. Lastly the baklava was good. Layers among layers of honey supposedly. But not here. Although it was a great try… it was still great to indulge and enjoy. Drink of choice was a Naked Blue Machine drink. Omg so good washing it down.
Sadly. The baklava isn’t made here. 🙁

The only ding was with a full bearded guy. That failed to use proper hygiene. After biting his thumb nail or digging for gold…. proper hand cleaning is important when serving any type of food. The other 2 employees were awesome and friendly

Great little bakery! They take and ready your order quickly. I got the ham and cheese omlette croissant. It was very tasty. I was happy to find they had iced coffee. All prices were reasonable and on display. No seating available, but there is some benches/tables nearby outside. Would reccomend for a quick stop.

Malassada made fresh daily.

Yummmm

I also bought a chocolate croissant, ate it before I took a picture
Yummmm

I’m not going to rate it any less, but the coffee machine was broken and they were out of a couple of things needed for coffee. A bit disappointing.

A large selection and my bestie says that the Portuguese sweet bread is really good. She always buys a couple of loaves to take home.

Stay away unless you are prepared to want to return EVERY day!! The desserts are sooooo good. The brownies are heaven and the fried dough is insanely addictive. The only downside is they do a surcharge with credit card use which I saw no signage for. Cash is understandably best for this small business but they should warn people of the fees. The staff does have a tendency to rush people through but that seems necessary as the space is small and most people want to get in and out quickly. Def worth a visit!
