There are so many high quality restaurants in CDMX that it is hard to stand out…but Lardo does. It hits all the marks: great ambience, excellent service, and absolutely delicious food.

Literally everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious. Among the things I tried were a fresh green salad with lemon, starfruit, and asiago cheese, their grilled bread, hummus, roasted chicken with spanich and artichokes and a tasty pastry (donut) with fig filling. I would order all of them again…even the mint tea was delicious.

The space is airy, refreshing, sleek and cute all at the same time. Every member of the staff I encountered was extraordinarily nice…and patient with my grade school level Spanish.

Whether it’s brunch, lunch or dinner, make sure Largo finds its way on to your packed list of must-visits!

This is hands down one of the best breakfast spots in Mexico City. The restaurant is pretty, surrounded by greenery and the atmosphere is so lively.

Their egg dishes were amazing — perfectly executed and full of flavor. They also have an extensive pastry menu, and everything looks incredible. I had the lemon ricotta pastry, which was beautifully balanced and not overly sweet. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the savory and sweet options. Very good coffee too.

They also have a takeaway section for pastries and coffee, which is great if you’re in a rush. The coffee itself was delicious.

Service was fine, a little slow, but the restaurant was full. The place fills up quickly. If you arrive right when they open, expect a short line, but it moves fairly fast. They have outdoor seating as well, which was relatively empty as people prefer to sit inside. We walked by again about an hour and a half later, and the wait looked significantly longer.

Worth the short wait. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and I am so happy we tried it on our last day in town. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks were fresh. Breakfast was phenomenal. Highly recommend the sweet potato pancakes!

Walked past, looked inviting & lots of people waiting so we added our names to the waitlist. Finally got seats at the bar, then it strangely became difficult to get service. Eventually ordered & watched our salad make its way to us, get dropped on the counter, picked up & reassembled with bare hands, and actually served to us! Not just gross but no food safety. Took ages to find someone who could deal with the issue. Otherwise, loved the space & atmosphere and food was tasty

One of the best breakfasts I had in Mexico City. There was a 35 minute wait but it went quick and was definitely worth waiting for. The staff are very friendly. The food was delicious. Also some of the best coffee I had in Mexico City. A definite must check out spot.

This restaurant was so delicious and the vibe was great. This place can fill up pretty quickly for dinner time during the weekend, and while we didn’t have a reservation, the hostess squeezed us in to take in on the experience. The ceviche was very good, and our pizzas were incredible. We didn’t expect them to be that small, but we’re so glad that we didn’t have huge portions because it ended up being perfect. I added burrata cheese to my margherita pizza and that was the best decision that I made because it was so tasty. Not to mention the dessert which was probably my favorite part of the whole experience (I kept taking from my friends portions because of how good it was lol).

TLDR; very lovely cafe to spend a relaxed afternoon, but the food is a hit or miss depending on what you get.

We came here twice for breakfast and once for a late lunch – overall, their breakfast menu stayed with me more than their lunch. The concha is really nice, the pasty empanadas are flaky and creamy as the same time, their guava pastry is one of the best I’ve had in the city.

Their tomato salad is super fresh tasting too.

This place is so good that it dies not need another great review, but I could not resist.
Get here early or wait to experience the tasty comestibles. The coffee served is smooth as silk. They source it from Cucurucho. Drink it black if you are a connoisseur of brewed coffee.

We came to Lardo for breakfast. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with beautiful light, lots of trees around, and a lovely terrace. However, it was quite busy and noisy, with loud music — definitely not the place for a quiet or intimate breakfast.
Unfortunately, the coffee was disappointing. We ordered an Americano and were served filter-style coffee without being asked. It tasted really bad, so we had to ask a replacement. Americano from the espresso machine was more acceptable, but still quite sour. I tried an affogato, and the espresso was not great with an acidic taste.
The famous guava roll, honestly, was not worth the hype for me. The cinnamon roll, however, was very good and definitely the highlight.

The food overall was solid (around 4/5). The menu is big enough, i tried three different dishes — everything was fine, with nothing to complain about. Green-mint tea was great by the way.
Nice tableware and a pleasant setting.
Worth visiting once for the atmosphere, but I wouldn’t come back mainly for the coffee.

Delightful spot. Charming atmosphere, delicious bakery. I met my son for breakfast, and we liked it so much we returned for lunch before our flight home. Crème pastry, eggs with sauce, and sandwich with burrata and prosciutto were delicious!

Not cheap. Sat at bar. Fun to watch the pastry chef in action.
