Easily, my favorite diner. I can’t get enough of the chicken souvlaki meal: $17 for a Greek salad, French fries, a giant hunk of feta cheese, a toasted pita and 3-4 fantastically cooked and seasoned chicken breasts? YES, PLEASE. I order it when we go here for BREAKFAST. Lol. I recently had it delivered through uber eats but we also love their breakfast and they have outstanding burgers too! Definitely kicks the elm and duchess’ butts. Oh yeah, and since I had to meet a quota on uber eats to get the discount, I got an order of their rice pudding which may be the best rice pudding I’ve ever had. Super sweet and creamy. No lie, I’m probably going there today before I go hang out with my dad.

I found the place truly delightful! The spaciousness and abundant light created a lovely ambiance, with calming country music adding to the relaxed feel. The waitresses were so friendly and had warm smiles, ensuring quick service. As for the food, my BLT and salad were delicious, and the vegetables were noticeably clean and fresh. Bon appétit !

At first glance, Branford Townhouse may look like a diner, but they’re so much more! They’re breaking from that mold with a recently renovated, nautical themed dining area, craft cocktails, and creative menu items. I had never seen lava flow French toast before, but it was really cool and definitely delicious! The funky monkey pancakes were a favorite of mine as well. Lots of seafood options on the menu, which is great to have in the Branford area pafter the loss of Chowder Pot. Overall a great variety, with truly something on the menu for everyone! Friendly and attentive staff as well. One critique would be on the chicken parm – while the chicken was nicely coated in sauce and cheese, the pasta barely had any sauce on it and was pretty much bare. However, they’re not an Italian restaurant, so I cut them some slack.

Diners are some of America’s most iconic eateries across the country. They are a staple of Americana and Townhouse does honor to the heritage. While they have a more condensed menu than many diners, it allows for what I believe to be a high quality of food. Only reason I did not give the restaurant a 5 is because to me, 5 stars is for something exceptional across the board. This is an great place to eat with stellar service, the food and atmosphere are expected of a diner.

Very good breakfast diner. Service was excellent. My plate came exactly as i ordered it and my waitress came by plenty of times to check on me. I thought the prices were reasonable. The house made hash was very good, i would recommend it. Potatoes were a little dry, and not very seasoned if at all. Id probably pass on those next time. Coffee was a bit weak, but they do refills. I could be biased on that as i normally get espresso, so it might be fine for most people. Overall it was a good experience, i would go again.

Stopped in for their current Friday-Sunday summer special the “Lobster Bomb.” This is a loaded bread bowl with large pieces of lobster, lobster bisque, and served with fries, a side salad, and coleslaw. Totally worth the money ($34.95) for how much food is given. Wish my bread was a little less toasty, but still delicious! The coleslaw was not my favorite.

Branford Townhouse Restaurant is one of the true gems in Branford, CT. Every time I stop in, the Chicken Club sandwich absolutely hits the spot, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked chicken, and crisp bacon layered just right. You can tell everything here is made with care and consistency.
