This was my fiancé’s first time at Villa Barone, and I was so excited to bring him! I loved their Chicken Castillo — the lemon cream makes it so much more flavorful than your typical francaise. And of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the pistachio cheesecake, which is absolutely incredible. We were thrilled when a friend gave us a gift certificate to go out and recommended this place — such a perfect choice!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Villa Barone and it was absolutely incredible. Our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was and some of the best they ever had especially the calamari and the chicken costoletta. Cesar was extremely accommodating and amazing to work with throughout the process and could not recommend this place more especially if you are getting married at Hamilton Manor.

My go-to restaurant for special occasions. Our office has visitors from across the country and this is where I take them to experience the best Italian cuisine in Mercer County. When you host someone from Nebraska who doesn’t know what eggplant rollatini is, it’s important to get it right! Everyone raves about the food and the service at Villa Barone. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience at dinner last night. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the pork Giambotta and my veal & shrimp & asparagus entree over Angel hair in white wine sauce was excellent! Lovely presentations. Great service with Sergio who noted my husband’s food allergies and was very attentive without being intrusive. Our guests enjoyed chicken parm and chicken Marsala. Definitely recommend.

We LOVE this place! The Owner is Amazing. He has everything dialed to perfection from the service, the food, and the atmosphere. We used to frequently dine here but we moved almost 2 hours away to Pennsylvania. That may reduce the number of visits we can make, but it will not stop us from enjoying a fantastic dinner at our Favorite Restaurant. The entrées are wonderful, and the pizza is pure perfection. My husband and I enjoyed both our meals so much we started planning when we could schedule our next visit, but we couldn’t leave without getting a couple of pizzas to take with us. We’re now sorry we didn’t get a few more to freeze because even though there have been a lot of newcomers to PA from both NJ and NY, we have not been able to find a really good NY/NJ style pizza. That’s ok though, we feel like we’ve come home when we dine at Villa Barone, and we enjoy the experience as much as the food so it’s worth the trip.

Ordered lunch takeout and, unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing overall. I had a chicken cheesesteak that was bland, with no peppers or onions and very little flavor. My brother’s buffalo chicken hero was also not good, and the fries tasted like they came straight from a frozen bag. My father didn’t enjoy his eggplant lunch platter either. The one bright spot was my mom’s Italian panini, which she liked. My parents usually speak highly of this place, so hopefully this was just an off day.

Last night we had a retirement party for my co-worker. It was amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic! Caesar and Juan were great! They made the planning so easy and were extremely accommodating! I highly recommend Villa Barone and would give them more than 5 stars if I could!

Crab Imperial: Great, would eat again. Could be tricky to share. (Appetizer)
Calamari: Great. Crispy, not oily.
Barone: Good. Liked the sauce.
Ossobuco: Good. Liked the sauce
Cappucciono cake: Okay. Too sweet for me. Cream felt like it had very fine grains for sugar and I didn’t like the texture. Could’ve been better with black coffee.
Ricotta cake: Great! Willing to come back for more. Not too sweet, the texture was very light and crumbly. Very interesting.
Tiramisu: Great! Strong coffee flavor. Airy, light texture. Will order again.
Cannoli: great! Would eat again.
Strawberry cheesecake: good. The top strawberry glaze layer was a bit too sweet for me.
Overall a good experience.

Villa Barone is the best BYO restaurant in the area. There is fine service, an updated decor with new menus, and fantastic specials. My favorite is the Pollo Costoletta and my son’s favorite is the Veal Frangelico (w figs and shiitake mushrooms). We celebrate various special occasions here knowing we will enjoy the experience. I highly recommend people try Villa Barone next time they seek fantastic dining.
