We got our food in less than 10 mins and service was friendly. I think I may prefer Tokyo Sando’s chicken sandwich a little bit better but the cute ambiance and indoor seating spaces makes this preferable in the winter.
My one little gripe is that I wished the meat was a little wider and reached the edges of the sandwich bread. But overall I was full and happy.
Ordering was a little difficult because the employee taking my order was hard to understand, which made the interaction confusing and it took a while to clarify what I wanted.
It also took an unusually long time for the drink to come out, especially considering I only ordered one drink. One thing I always pay attention to when I visit matcha spots is how efficiently drinks come out, and this one took much longer than I expected.
When I finally received it, the drink itself was really disappointing. I’m someone who drinks matcha often and enjoys trying different places, but this was honestly one of the worst matcha drinks I’ve had. It wasn’t sweet at all and tasted extremely bitter. I’m not sure if the sweetener was accidentally left out, but the drink ended up being basically undrinkable.
I also paid around $10 for the drink, which felt very high compared to other matcha places I’ve been to (usually around $7–$8). The receipt listed three items even though I only ordered one drink and just switched the milk to almond milk, so I’m not sure if there was a mistake with the charge.
The shop itself looks really nice and has a cool aesthetic, but unfortunately the drink didn’t live up to the hype for me. I really wanted to like it, but based on this experience I probably wouldn’t come back.
Definitely recommend trying out their Katsu!
