When I walked in, there was no greeting, but the woman at the register was helpful when explaining the different side options. My food came out in about 5–10 minutes, so the service was quick.
Unfortunately, the food itself was a major disappointment. When I bit into the gyro, the chicken was rubbery and undercooked. I tried a second bite thinking it might’ve been just one piece, but several pieces had the same texture. When I opened the gyro, almost half the chicken looked undercooked, and the lettuce was wilted. The tomatoes were fresh and the sauce tasted great, but the overall quality wasn’t acceptable especially when it comes to safely cooked meat.
Even though the meal was free for me because of the coupon, I don’t see myself returning. I hadn’t heard of this place before, and I was excited to try it, but being served undercooked chicken is a deal-breaker.
Visit 3: This time we decided to eat inside hoping for a better experience than our previous to go orders. Got halfway through the meal and realized it was a long brown hair in the salad. The female manager was sweet and quickly replaced the meal but appetite was ruined.
Visit 2: Decided to give another try since they really had just opened. Ordered a gyro, got all the way home and bit into raw chicken. Called the store to inform them before they serve more people raw chicken and the manager apologized and offered to comp the meal, however was never received. This was a scary experience.
Visit 1: Ordered a Salmon feast and family meal to go. Got home and the salmon was charred solid black on the bottom and inedible. The feast came with less than half a pan of rice that was crispy in places, pretty much old rice. Sauce all over the container and only about 1/3 full and a salad that had more croutons and cheese than lettuce. We barely had enough to feed the family.
Overall: We love Taziki’s but totally disgusted with this location.
The kids meal was even worse — the chicken was undercooked and cold, which is insane considering it’s for a child. That alone is a major safety issue. The rice was cold, the soft pita was cold, and even the cucumber and tomato salad was warm, basically room temperature.
I will never order from here again. This place needs serious attention from management because serving food like this is dangerous and absolutely unacceptable.
Falafel is a basic protein option for vegetarian customers, and without it the menu felt very limited. It made me feel like vegetarian customers were not really considered when planning the menu at this location. This feels like a missed opportunity and a poor business choice for a Mediterranean restaurant.
Update: I didn’t say falafel wasn’t available during my visit. I was told it is not offered at this location at all. That distinction matters. Asking me to reach out via email is not accountability. I already provided this feedback through the proper channel. Redirecting me elsewhere without addressing the issue is a lame response.
