Best Laos food in Sydney with a comfortable homey vibe, the restaurant has been a staple in the community for decades! Highly recommend the Laos sausage and crunchy fried rice.

We’ve been going here for over 15 years and it never disappoints! We’ve tried every dish on the menu and love them all—it just depends on what we feel like every time we go.
Over time, the prices have increased but the food hasn’t changed and the quantity has stayed the same!
My go-tos are the ox tongue, Laos papaya salad, raw beef salad and combination fried rice. If you’re feeling like something new or trying Lao food for the first time, why not try the raw prawn salad, tripe salad or Lao sausages!
Drinks wise—the Thai milk tea or soda lemon are my recs!

I haven’t been to Laos Village and they did not disappoint! The service was fantastic and quick, offering us drinks and we opted for the iced tea.
The food was so fresh and flavourful.
One of my favourite spots for Larb (raw beef). My partner can’t handle spice and, even though there was a bit of a kick to the mild spiciness, it wasn’t too overpowering and he was as able to enjoy it too.

If you want a tasty Lao meal, then come here! You’ll find it quite surprising, as it has similar flavours of the Thai cuisines. We ordered, Seafood Fried Rice, BBQ Beef, Green Curry, Larb(Pork based salad), Beef Stir Fry Noodles, Grilled Ox Tongue and Sticky rice. All delicious, all very tasty and seasoned well. Highly recommend

One of the best Laos cuisine I’ve ever had the chance to try out. Everything on the menu is fantastic. My personal favourite is the ox tongue and the Lao fried rice. The prices are reasonable and well worth trying a bunch of dishes if you’re out and about with a big group! Plenty of street parking and it’s right next to the train station.

This local restaurant has been around for a long time. Been eating here when they were operating in a small shop on the side.
I love the ox tongue, fry quail, paw paw salad and crunchy fried rice.
Their soup dishes are a bit salty for me.
Still recommended if you want to try Lao/Thai dishes in Fairfield and Cabramatta areas.

Beef ball soup is worth to check out, full of flavor, feel just right. Family style, share dishes, cozy feeling. As a Vietnamese, I like their food, this will become my regular spot.

Food was pretty tasty but if you like your red meat to be tender then this wouldn’t be a good place to have it. The beef was way too DRY and overly cooked. Only ate 1 piece of beef from the stir fry noodles the rest were left out.
Asked for a medium rare cooked bbq ox tongue but it was overly cooked and well done. Disappointed. Asked if they can do anything about it with the ox tongue but got rejected because we ate a few of it. At least half of the ox tongue were way too cooked so we left them out.

Went there on Friday with my office and found out that the food is really good. Generous amount of servings, excellent customer service, and very reasonable prices too. Went back again yesterday and still finding the quality does not change. Happy to return to the place and highly recommended. The only thing is that the main dining room was too dark and too warm compared to the extended room next door which is much brighter and cooler.

Came in for dinner with friends. Lao village has always been the OG of Lao food for as long as I can remember (over 30 years at least since I was a kid). The raw beef larb, Lao sausages, ox tongue, papaya salad and sticky beef being our go to dishes. Yesterday we went in and ordered all of the above plus the red curry, pork larb, sausages, chicken feet salad and bbq pork. All dishes were ok, nothing like what it once was. In the past I could easily finish the raw beef larb and ox tongue by myself, however yesterday it was just ok. I felt like the raw beef larb flavour was very average and didnt pack any flavour punch. The ox tongue wasnt tender and juicy either. The curry was really nice and flavourful, the pork larb was very sad and just tasted like stir fried minced meat, the chicken feet salad was great and so was the bbq pork and the sausages which was delicious. The papaya salad did not even taste or look like a standard papaya salad (yes, I know there are two styles available but this one was very subtle (couldnt taste any fish sauce, lime juice…. anything… tasted like a very westernised salad). Customer service was great and food came out in an adequate time considering how busy the restaurant gets. Yesterday was quite disappointing as I used to rate the beef larb, ox tongue and papaya salad at Lao village as the best of the best (however, unfortunately it didnt quite meet the mark yesterday).
