Stopped into Spice Hut for the first time while passing through Ladysmith and decided to grab lunch on my own. I’ve always wanted to try it, had heard so many good things, and honestly — the hype absolutely lived up to it.
The food was fantastic — full of flavour and clearly made with care. The portions were huge, the service was spectacular, and the restaurant was very clean and comfortable.
Such a great experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be going out of my way to come back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

Spice Hut offers amazing quality food. The service was quick and very friendly. The biryani had great aroma and taste. Butter chicken was delicious, and the prawns and tikka boti were cooked perfectly. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here twice now, once for dinner, once for lunch. The food is rather mediocre. Not outstanding, and not bad.
The last visit saw the kebab masala with good meat and an overly sweet masala sauce that I could not eat. All the sauce got left behind.
The chicken keema naan was very good. Fish pakora batter was really not good, and tasted like it was made with wheat and not gram flour.
My Wife enjoyed her chicken jalfrezi though.

This is my go to for Indian cuisine and I eat every meal in a restaurant. The tandoori chicken is so tender and succulent. Alot of room between tables. I highly recommend this place.

For South Asian cuisines, it is much challenging to keep the authentic flavour and taste but still they always provide the best food. The food was truly amazing! Hubby had lamb korma with naan, and I had butter chicken with rice – meals that came with pop and dessert. Incredible flavor. Outside can be nicer, but food made up for everything.

A review after a couple of visits here !!
For the most part the food is great but for some reason I feel if they work on consistency more that would be great !!
Like I still remember having our first plate of biryani here and it was great but then had a few average plates too on our second and third visits.
The service for that matter has been lovely everytime but they somehow struggle to deliver the same taste I feel !!
We do come here from time to time
So would love to get the same lip smacking dishes we had on our first visit 🙂
