Love this Starbucks. It’s very convenient (especially in winter) and accessible for the folks who work at Steel Tower. Friendly staff and fast service. Ever since the Starbucks in Omni William Penn closed, this has become the go to place for coffee for folks who work in and around this area.

I went in to get coffee without realizing the sign in front of the store, for some reason the establishment thought it was a good idea to culturally appropriate me and my community / communities because I’m a furry, this is the last place I expected a sign like this to be. It has a furry drawn on the front telling people about a furry convention, considering we are a very spiritual bunch this is no different than it would be them displaying the Quran and offending Muslims. It’s completely unacceptable and outright offensive. Our communities should stay as they are and not be shoved into the mainstream like this. Imagine if the employee drew an African American person on the sign while being another race that says “visit Chicago” or something, not all African Americans live there or support Chicago. It’s clear this establishment doesn’t know what it’s doing and I would hope this is looked into by the staff. Imagine saying a specific group of people is “welcomed” instead of everyone, absurd.

They can be quite curt if you ask for clarification when they hand out your order. They definitely project a “you are wasting my time” attitude. They move quickly from that to outright ignoring you…and I was the only person standing there. Unbelievable really.
