Man. I crave Mo’Bettahs all the time, but I’ve been disappointed lately. My favorite order is a mini with kalua pig and teri steak. The last several visits have not been so good. Either the pig is dry, or it’s just a giant scoop of fat that I have to pick through to get a few tiny bites of the delicious meat. How do I justify going back if my last several meals have been subpar? Doesn’t seem like a one off thing, which would be fine. Employees are always great, so shout out to them.

We were excited for the teriyaki chicken, but the two plates we ordered were very burnt. I like a good char, but these clearly should not have gone out. The employees were friendly, though there seems to be a quality control issue.

Came to Mo’ Bettahs at 9 PM (they close at 10) and ordered two mini plates. While orderin we’ve noticed they were out of all meats except katsu chicken. They were making teriyaki, but said it would take 15 minutes and clearly didn’t want to deal with it, so we felt pushed into just getting katsu.
Then the portions were completely inconsistent. One plate had a normal amount of meat, the other had barely anything and nothing was being weighed. When I asked if both plates were supposed to be two meats since the difference was obvious they were rolling eyes and rude.
If you’re going to run out of most of your menu an hour before closing, at least tell customers before they order. The attitude from staff made it clear they didn’t care about doing things right.
We decided not to take the food. Really poor experience.
Train people better! ( specially the two girls that were working that night) the shorter one was a lot worse
This happened on 2-28-26 ( night 9pm).

Ahh. I do enjoy working 12 hours craving katsu chicken and teriyaki chicken. But just to find out the katsu chicken is so burnt and hard it’s like I’m eating charcoal flavored chips. So disappointing. $15 wasted. (I know it doesn’t look burnt. I thought the same thing. But the chicken is so dry and the burnt skin ruins it all)

The food has gone downhill since it first opened. The katsu used to be so good, but it’s very thick pieces and usually soggy. I want to give a shout out to Rachel who helped us! We walked in and were the only people there. About 3 employees looked at us, but none came out of the back room to help. Rachel was eating lunch and once she noticed nobody was coming to help she got up and helped us. She deserves to be noticed for her amazing customer service and the other employees should take note.

They got our order wrong, which wasn’t fun. But when we called later (we ordered drive thru) about our wrong order, the staff were very helpful and kind. Having said that, the teriyaki chicken (which I didn’t order but got) was completely burnt on one side. This is really disappointing because I grew up going to the original restaurant in Bountiful where the food was incredible, but the quality of the food at this spot is very subpar. I hope they are able to figure out how to be as great as they used to be.

Terrible service.
My order was scheduled for pickup at 3:18 PM. When I arrived, they told me they were out of chicken and didn’t offer any alternative options. After waiting more than 10 minutes, I asked how long the teriyaki chicken would take, and they said 25 minutes.
I then asked if I could switch to teriyaki steak to speed things up. An extremely rude employee said yes — but the steak was also raw.
I’ve now been here for over 30 minutes, I can’t cancel my order, and this whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.

The food used to be better but they’ve recently started giving smaller portions. For the price, they shouldn’t have done that. But what actually prompted me to leave a review is what’s happening now. I pulled into the drive through and they told me the teriyaki chicken is a 25 minute wait. I said I didn’t want to wait that long and I’d like to pull through and they apologized and said that’s fine. Two cars are ahead of me at the window. After waiting ten minutes I called the store to ask if the cars ahead of me were waiting for chicken and, if so, could they pull forward so I can get out? They said no, it’s against company policy to have cars pull ahead and that I’d have to wait. Two problems here, I’ve literally been asked to pull into front and wait for my food before so they can serve others while mine is being prepared. So they lied. And 2, why am I being forced to wait in their drive through for a half an hour? What if I had an emergency?
Lastly, when they two cars in front of me finally pulled forward, I decided I’d order at the window since I was already forced to wait that long. When it was my turn at the window, the girl sat with her back to the window and never even acknowledged I was there. Time to go to a different restaurant. Do better. If the food is going to take awhile, that’s fine, but don’t hold me hostage in your drive through. Let people who don’t want to wait that long out. I love Mohbetta’s but this experience really makes me not want to come back.

It’s my first time eating from a Hawaiian place so I have no reference on what it’s Mo Bettah than, but I can tell you it’s WAY BETTAH than I expected. I got all 3 types of chicken they serve and all of them were ridiculously good, the macaroni salad was amazing, and I ordered cookies as well…which were delicious. I’ll be a regular here now.

Just want to reach out to the world because I like to give the feedback when it’s well deserved. Got half way done with my food and was overwhelmed with gratitude off the back. Just want to say thank you to the staff and whoever runs this store. Got here at 6:25, The greeting I got from the employee’s as I came in was amazing. They asked me how I was and didn’t rush my ordering. The taste of the food has been the best I have ever had from mobettas. I have been to a few from Ogden to all over the salt lake valley. Nothing compares. Staff stays busy and the bathrooms were very clean. Keep up the good work. Goes well with the new atmosphere.
