Reviews
Our server was great. If I recall correctly, he’s been there since before it was opened.
My lamb shank over mashed potatoes was terrific and my date’s filet of beef in pastry (I forget the French name and I’m too lazy to look it up) was delicious.
The topper was the chocolate cake. I’m not a fan of said cake, or I hadn’t been, until I tried this one. I’ll be searching for something as tasty as that one in every bakery I go to.
Definite recommendation: the corn pudding, the French onion soup and the steak (pictured here). The corn pudding seems to be very unique and is definitely addictive! Good dessert options as well.
Tip: ask for sauces as they may not be explicitly written on the menu
Such a cozy and beautiful space, amazing staff, and incredible food.
I had the best time! ✨
Roberto & Yvonne.
The food is very good. I only rated it 4 stars considering the price, which is quite high. Last time I was there I had the beef wellington, which was delicious. The corn souffle is also a nice little dish worth trying.
The good: The cocktails were good. Served just as we asked and tasty!
It’s a nice positive vibe but we could hear each other. (We were at a hightop table in the bar section.)
Disappointments: Our waiter forgot 3 of our dishes. He realized when our entrees were served he’d forgotten one. He apologized and it came out quickly. The took off the price from the bill, which was what I’d hope at a good restaurant but still a good move. Apparently, he never put in the two side dishes we requested and never acknowledge they were forgotten.
The fish entree was good and the steak too. The steak frites meat was almost inedible. Really hard on the outside and in a roll. Could barely cut through the “crust”? We also asked to have a baked potato instead of fries. It came with the fries anyway, which I must say were tasty. The baked potato also came.
Lastly, we all know food prices are up significantly. But $15 for a baked potato? Even though it comes with bacon and sour cream, that seems above really steep.
All in all, we won’t be returning again soon. Sadly.
The butterscotch bread pudding is too die for along with their homemade Chantilly whipped cream.
The only negative I have was the sides didn’t really compare to the entrees. Whipped potatoes were lumpy and brussels were just ok. They needed more attention to execution and seasoning.
Will definitely be back again!
