Founding Farmers has a fun, funky ambience and an interesting somewhat adventurous menu.

It’s well labeled and accommodating. The food is tasty and hearty.

The service was excellent. Our server was hard of hearing and was an exceptional communicator as well as being warm, friendly, and efficient.

The prices are appropriate considering the quality and quantity of the food.

It’s a bit loud, due to the very high ceilings, but good conversation wasn’t impeded.

We all enjoyed our food very much.

The hot chocolate and warm cookies were a standout.

We will definitely return!

I had dinner here with my boyfriend and his family and we really enjoyed our meal. I loved the cozy and casual yet elevated vibe. I had such a hard time deciding what to even order because there were so so so many options that sounded great! We got the black pepper wings and cornbread appetizers, both of which were delicious. I had the butternut squash ravioli and it was amazing! For dessert we split the gingerbread blondie and it was a little hard but the flavor was very festive. I will be back to try more of the menu!

This was our first time visiting Founding Farmers. Davida was our server and she was awesome. Everything came timely and tasted delicious. Highly recommend the crab cake Benedict and strawberries and cream waffle. Their hot chocolate is soooo good. Like drinking melted chocolate with the freshest cream I’ve ever had. If you’re on the fence hop off and get in there. And ask for Davida.

This place is so good we came back the next day after trying it for the first time while visiting to attend basketball game.
The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The food is made from scratch and is very tasty! The biscuits were warm and delicious! Scratch seasonal soda was awesome and the fresh squeezed orange juice was great. Grilled cheese and tomato soup hit the spot. We loved the devilish eggs appetizer! We will road trip to visit this restaurant again, it was that wonderful! Our servers Brendon and Alex both were personable and attentative. Loved everything about this place!

Came for Thanksgiving, they do a nice 3-course special. I did the Squash soup, and picked the Honey Glazed Spiral Ham as the protein for my Main course, finished off with some pumpkin Spiced cheesecake. The food was spectacular and the presentation was great. We had to sit in the outside venue, it was a bit chilly but they did their best to have as many heaters as possible. Kristi, our server, was amazing and did everything they could to make sure we had a comfortable and great Thanksgiving! Definitely a great place to try for the holidays or in general!

We had a lovely experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious — we ordered the French Toast and the Pan Scramble, both of which were fresh and flavorful. There was a small mix-up with our order initially, but our server Maria handled it wonderfully. She was attentive, polite, and very efficient in getting everything corrected right away. Excellent service and great food — would definitely come back!

Amazing service! Camilo was welcoming, attentive, and very professional. He made sure our drinks were refilled, checked in at the perfect times, and kept everything running smoothly. His positive attitude truly made our visit even better. Highly recommend!

This place was an awesome experience. The farm to table concept is great. The service was spectacular and the food did not disappoint at all. The vibes of this establishment meet every expectation. If near DC or Rockville area go stop by. We had breakfast but I can only imagine lunch or dinner. Make the trip

I’ve been to this location, the D.C. one, and the Tyson’s Corner one. The first one I went to was the D.C. location, on the 4th of July, maybe 7 years ago, and it was the best dinner I’d ever had. The second was Tyson’s, which was very disappointing (I refuse to go back), and the third was this one, which was also pretty disappointing, but I decided to give it a second try tonight since we were in the area. This time around, everything was top notch. For appetizers, we had the skillet cornbread and candied bacon, both of which were exceptional. I ordered the chicken and waffle entree (the only entree I ever order at Founding Farmers, because it was THAT good the first time I had it). The last time I had it at this location, the waffle came out cold, and the chicken was pretty bland/dry. This was maybe two years ago. This time, the waffle was perfect (and warm), and the chicken was to die for. Also, the cinnamon syrup…it’s liquid crack. It’s AMAZING. Everything was so, SO good, including the sides, which for me were mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. My roommate had the ribeye entree, with collard greens and mashed potatoes. His steak was cooked absolutely perfectly, and the collard greens (he said I had to try them) were PACKED with flavor. I’ll definitely be ordering collard greens as one of my sides, next time. For desserts, I had a scoop of chocolate ice cream, and my roommate had the hot fudge sundae. Though I enjoyed my ice cream, it was very rich, so I’m glad I only ordered one scoop. My roommate did like his hot fudge sundae, but said he wouldn’t order it again, because the “hot fudge” was more like a chocolate syrup. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and plan to visit this location often.

I do wish any of the locations still had the seafood deviled egg appetizer we had at the D.C. location the first time we went, but we haven’t seen it on any of the menus since that first visit. Also, I feel it’s worth mentioning that the reason I won’t be returning to the Tyson’s Corner location is because, 1, the atmosphere is rather cold and uninviting and, 2, they don’t (or at least didn’t) have the chicken and waffle entree on their menu. Instead, they offer a chicken and Jefferson donut. When I ordered it, it sounded appetizing, but upon tasting it, I couldn’t imagine anyone enjoying it. The chicken was good, but the donut was absolutely disgusting, to me.

All of that being said, I would recommend this location to anyone!

The wait wasn’t too long…I expected a longer wait, on a Saturday. Food and drinks are always incredible. I always ask the servers to help me choose, when I am undecided.

I ended up having TWO clementine beverages (they are in-season, now). One with vodka & one with tequilla. I think the one made with tequila was incredible. The vodka one had a more mild taste, but I like a more noticeable flavor.

The avocado toast tasted good but was literally falling all over the table, menus, our clothing, etc so I am going to suggest they make it actually stick to the toast & smush it on. Eating it was embarrassing!

The cob, with crab, salad was INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t finish it, but I tried to.

The environment is always nice, just too bright, and that’s the only reason I don’t visit this chain, as much. I usually go for places that are on the dim side.
