First visit after a friend recommended the place. The dark roast coffee was excellent. I wanted the Muffaleta but the employee said they were currently out of the bread. She immediately suggested alternate bread so I could still have the sandwich. The olive spread was excellent, and added plenty of flavor to the sandwich. The jambalaya was also flavorful. Could have been hotter, and the rice was a bit overcooked but still very good. The cornbread was slightly sweet and had a great texture. Left both full and happy. Would definitely recommend this place.

While visiting Indiana I got a coupon on Facebook BOGO so I thought I’d try the place, the sandwich was delicious! The young lady at the counter what is very helpful since we had never been in there before she helped us order a combo meal.
I would definitely return, the sandwich was very very good the guacamole on it was ripe, plenty of bacon and meat!

I went for the fish fry and I have ate here before and it was good so I thought I’d try it. Fish wasn’t that good it was a two. The battery was bland and fish was dry. Got the avocado toast because last time I tried it it was delicious. Well it was bland and not tasty like before. The shrimp were good and gumbo was good but def lacking meat today. I didn’t know why but today wasn’t like the first visit we had here. Is def come back in hopes of catching them on a better day service was good atmosphere was good

Got the half order of biscuits and gravy and a Melon Julip Italian Soda w/ cream. The cashier was very polite and kind. The server who brought out my order was equally polite and kind, served with a smile. I dont have the biggest tolerance for spicy foods, so to me the biscuits and gravy had quite a kick, but wasnt overpowering and still had great taste. Lobby area is very clean and well kept! Tables cleaned promptly during my visit.

Chicory Cafe has such a cozy, fun, and welcoming vibe. The food and coffee are always fresh and flavorful, and the beignets are a must-try. Portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming. Definitely a cafe I look forward to continue visiting.

I generally love the chicory cafe, i’d have never had a problem until today. Today was bad enough for me to leave at a middling review.
I had lunch lunch was wonderful. But I needed a box. I stood up at the register for about 2 minutes. I rang the bell once and then once again. The second time I did, the women came out with the phone on her ear.She didn’t make eyes contacted or anything. She even turned her back to me.So I went back and sat down.Thinking I would just leave the food. About five minutes later, she came out and said how can I help you?And I said I needed a box, she said, I was busy on the phone, and I said you could have asked him to hold on for a second or acknowledge me. She literally did the silent front thing like you imagine people doing when they roll their eyes.
It was super awful.

I went into the Chicory Café Tuesday at 5 PM. I ordered the Cajun sausage and Mac with extra sausage when I receive my food. The sausage was cold. Well as the mac & cheese and the noodles was way way overcooked they was mushy. I was so disappointed.

Good, fresh ingredients and excellent food! The staff and the manager are all stellar individuals who care about customers. Good environment. I would visit again. Only hope that they would use real eggs for breakfast sandwiches, though.

Amazing spot to grab a bite to eat. Went for the first time and will definitely return. The fish po boy was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. Freshly fried to order, the fish was seasoned and cooked beautifully. The staff were all very polite and the atmosphere was great. Lots of breakfast, coffee, and lunch/dinner options.

Food used to be good here, not sure what’s happened. Ordered a frozen blueberry lemonade. It was good but as you can see in the picture no blue in sight which leads me to believe they used a syrup or flavoring, not actual blueberries. The beignets were OK. Very lackluster but only $3.5 so you get what you pay for. Ordered a cup of jambalaya. Super salty and not very flavorful besides salt. The corn bread was good. 3 stars because later in the day all I had was heartburn from the jambalaya. I typically only get that when food has been made with cheap quality ingredients, specifically tomatoes or meat. I hadn’t eaten anything else that day so it was definitely from here. Skip this place unless you’re just going for coffee and get jambalaya at Fat Cams instead.
