Both of our meals were completely burnt when they first arrived, forcing us to send them back. Mistakes happen, but what followed was even more concerning: the replacement grouper dish my husband ordered was undercooked to the point of being raw. At this level of dining, basic execution from the kitchen should never be this inconsistent or unsafe. A different manager brought us the raw grouper dish and she thought she was educating us on the difference between charred and crispy skin which ultimately felt insulting. The “charred” grouper was burnt to taste. The comment felt as though we did not know the difference between charred and burnt. Unfortunately, there was a gentleman sitting right next to us who also sent his burnt filet mignon back to the kitchen.
It’s disappointing that such stellar service from the bar staff was overshadowed by a kitchen that failed not once, but twice. On a night meant to be special, the lack of quality control and attention to detail left us genuinely frustrated and deeply let down. The unfortunate mistakes from our dinner ultimately resulted in a delayed dining experience and we missed our candle light concert that was only 3 minutes from Flor Fina. I hope this feedback is received as this was not only a let down on our anniversary, but my husband started he would never return to Flor Fina, a restaurant that we have enjoyed in the past.

My other friends and I were staying at the Haya and I’m so glad I booked this brunch for us. Super chill urban like modern atmosphere. We also had drinks at the bar later. And all the bar tenders were great!

Our server – Ashley, went above and beyond from start to finish. Attentive, kind, and absolutely on top of every detail which truly elevated the whole experience. Definitely a spot worth returning to!
We ordered the chickpea salad and the cheese potato spheres to begin with. The potato spheres were unfortunately very salty, but our server was kind and responsive, promptly replacing them with potato wedges, which were much better.
For dinner, I ordered the snapper. It was okay, but nothing particularly special. My friend went with the chicken, which turned out to be a standout. The sauce especially was flavorful and really tied the dish together.
My drink, a cucumber gin cocktail, was refreshing and well done. For dessert, the banana tiramisu was a pleasant surprise light, creamy, and delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was decent, but about what you’d expect from that kind of dessert.
Our server was training someone new, and both were very attentive and friendly throughout the evening, which definitely added to the experience.
All in all, it was a good night out..not amazing, but with a few highlights and great service to balance out the rough edges.
We started with the lobster sweet potato bisque, and wow… the flavor was phenomenal. When I mentioned how much I loved it, Clayton encouraged me to live a little and reassured me that ordering another wasn’t a bad idea at all and honestly, he was right.
I trusted Clayton enough to let him surprise me with an entrée based on the three he recommended, and it was hands down the best decision of the night. Every bite was incredible.
We were celebrating my fiancé’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make the evening feel special with a birthday dessert that truly sealed the experience. The food, the ambiance, and most of all the genuine conversation and connection made this night unforgettable.
We’ve already made another reservation specifically to come back and see Clayton again. Flora Fina isn’t just a meal it’s an experience we can’t wait to repeat!
