The was our first and definitely my last visit. Even though it came highly recommended. Must have been an off day considering the employees and just finished having some type of altercation right before we got there. We got there most of the tables we dirty, coffee spilled on the table next to us. Our server was a little disoriented. And the food was not good at all and my pancakes weren’t all the way done, but my friend did enjoy her burrito.

The pace was very slow in this restaurant. Our server was no where to be seen several times, we waited for about 45 minutes for our food, and we had to entertain hungry small kids while waiting. When the adults got their food, they said the kids’ eggs were just being cooked and that it was all a communication issue. When we spoke with the manager, they said that a 30-45 minute wait was normal for the weekend (no apology) and gave us 10% off. The food was tasty, but not worth the wait or price.

We used to love Jimmy’s Egg but it has gone majorly downhill in the last year or so (at least this location, we haven’t been to others). There have been a few noticeable but minor service and food quality (cheapening) issues during our last few visits. Today became our last visit though. This morning the food was slow because there were a couple of 8-tops ahead of us (but at least our server warned us). I had ordered eggs benedict with the eggs hard poached. When they came out, the eggs were obviously not hard poached because they were jiggly, but I didn’t feel like waiting even longer so I didn’t send the plate back. I ate the first egg, but when I cut into the second one, even the middle white was runny!! I then asked our server to have them remake that one egg. I was shocked when he came back and said the kitchen manager was refusing to remake the egg. The server said he asked the kitchen manager to come discuss it, but the manager never did come to the table. I feel bad for that server too because he was such a nice guy and we could tell he was between a rock and a hard place. He said the kitchen manager said they still had to charge me for the order so I told him to ask the floor manager to at least sell it at half price because it turned out to be a half order. The floor manager ended up allowing the server to remove the order entirely from our ticket, which I appreciate. That being said, the fact that they refused to remake an egg that they screwed up was the final straw. There are too many other great places for breakfast in town to put up with that.

My experience seems to be in line with many other recent reviews. I asked for a sandwich with no mayo due to an allergy and they couldn’t figure it out. After asking to fix the sandwich a third time the cooks/management refused and I had to sit there waiting for my party to finish eating. The cooks/management ended up chiding the poor waitresses who was simply relaying the request. Absolutely incompetent.

Ordered the Pancake Combo with Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes. It arrived with no pineapple, the scambled eggs were not cooked, bacon was so overcooked that crispy was extremely surpassed and the sausage was undercooked and cold. Service was horridous. Usually a very good place to eat but really missed the mark today.

I go to the Jimmy’s Egg right outside of Andover and the last 2 times I’ve tried to eat there, including this morning, the hash brown’s are RAW!! I’m so tired of paying for food that isn’t done right. The really sweet server took it back to the kitchen and came back 15 SECONDS LATER, and guess what? STILL RAW!! And they still made us pay for our coffee
