SubCulture is one of Denver’s true hidden gems tucked away in a great location with a relaxed vibe and a really solid beer selection to pair with your meal. The quality of the bread and ingredients here is always top-notch — everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and handcrafted with care. I love the variety of sandwiches on the menu, and at decent prices too, it’s great for a casual lunch or dinner that doesn’t break the bank.

I always have to shout out Bree — she’s always so nice, sweet, and incredibly tolerant of my pickiness. Her service never fails to make the experience even better, and she always helps make the right choices when I’m trying to decide what to order.

And if it’s your first time, the spicy cherry peppers are an absolute must as an add-on. They bring the perfect tangy kick that cuts beautifully through the richer, high-fat meat slices and really elevate the whole sandwich.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be that the bar area could use a bit of a facelift. It already has a good beer selection, and with a slightly cozier, more dialed-in hangout vibe, it could easily become an even better spot to linger and enjoy a drink.

Overall, this place is absolutely worth seeking out if you’re in Denver and craving a great sandwich made with fresh ingredients and served by genuinely kind people.

Easily one of the best hot subs I’ve ever had. I’d absolutely recommend it. The staff is friendly, and the place is a comfortable spot to sit and eat.

Edit:
After receiving a comment from the business
“ Completely false and irresponsible. This is a troll.”

No, it is not irresponsible to inform a restaurant you contracted food poisoning from their establishment, nor a “troll”.
As in my review I hoped you would actually take some form of responsibility.
It was in no way to bash the restaurant if you read the review fully.
However this shows you do not care.
Attached are photos of said sandwich and receipt.

DO Better! Thanks

Tried Subculture for the first time, while the sandwich was very tasty; I ended up getting food poisoning yesterday into today.
I’m unsure what was not up to temp, or contaminated, but had to throw my left overs away.
I hope the restaurant is making sure of quality/food safety checks moving forward.

We had a very friendly cashier who took our order. They have a fun table number system where you draw a giant card and it’s your table number but if you draw a joker you get a free sandwich. The bread was perfect. We had one toasted sub and one cold sub and the bread was great on both. Held the fillings without being tough. The fillings were generous. We ate outside and there was plenty of seating and good amounts of shade. We will be back!

Sandwich selection is amazing, quality meats and cheeses. House made sauces. You can easily spend twenty dollars per person per meal, but portions are big. They do a lot of pickup orders, especially during lunch. Arguably the best sub sandwich in the area. Beer and adult beverages also available.

Always fantastic. As far is gluten-free sandwiches go, one of the better ones. They are always delicious and love getting them for catering. I have never had a bad experience.

The Homestyle and Bonet Sandwiches were very good! Love the super friendly staff and customers, huge menu, plenty of seating, fun chalk board you can write something on, plenty of drinks to choose from, and very good sandwiches! Glad we found this in the neighborhood. If you want a sandwich, check out SubCulture, you’ll find something you like!

*UPDATE* After hearing from the owner that some changes were made, I got this sandwich again and it was much much better. Appropriate amount of moisture and the flavors were still really good. I appreciate that the feedback was accepted with a gracious heart. New favorite!

Got the “Woods” – flavor was good but the ingredients were so wet that it soaked through the hard baguette and the sandwich eventually fell apart. It was *super drippy* which is really annoying for a hand held food item.
