I always have to shout out Bree — she’s always so nice, sweet, and incredibly tolerant of my pickiness. Her service never fails to make the experience even better, and she always helps make the right choices when I’m trying to decide what to order.
And if it’s your first time, the spicy cherry peppers are an absolute must as an add-on. They bring the perfect tangy kick that cuts beautifully through the richer, high-fat meat slices and really elevate the whole sandwich.
If I had one small suggestion, it would be that the bar area could use a bit of a facelift. It already has a good beer selection, and with a slightly cozier, more dialed-in hangout vibe, it could easily become an even better spot to linger and enjoy a drink.
Overall, this place is absolutely worth seeking out if you’re in Denver and craving a great sandwich made with fresh ingredients and served by genuinely kind people.
After receiving a comment from the business
“ Completely false and irresponsible. This is a troll.”
No, it is not irresponsible to inform a restaurant you contracted food poisoning from their establishment, nor a “troll”.
As in my review I hoped you would actually take some form of responsibility.
It was in no way to bash the restaurant if you read the review fully.
However this shows you do not care.
Attached are photos of said sandwich and receipt.
DO Better! Thanks
Tried Subculture for the first time, while the sandwich was very tasty; I ended up getting food poisoning yesterday into today.
I’m unsure what was not up to temp, or contaminated, but had to throw my left overs away.
I hope the restaurant is making sure of quality/food safety checks moving forward.
Got the “Woods” – flavor was good but the ingredients were so wet that it soaked through the hard baguette and the sandwich eventually fell apart. It was *super drippy* which is really annoying for a hand held food item.
