Literally the best bbq we’ve ever had, and we’ve tried a lot of bbq. So good that I immediately had to leave a 5 star review, though I vowed to myself I would come back and add a novel later. I so wish I would’ve thought to get a picture; I’ll definitely be coming back to add one later. Even for a delivery-app dinner in a box, it just *looked* good, y’know?
My husband used to travel the country for work, he’s tried all of the “famous” bbq—Tennessee, KC, Texas, et cetera—so when I say he’s been looking for a local contender, he had his standards set pretty high. Whole Hog Cafe delivers. Flavorful, perfectly cooked meat, perfectly complementary sauce. We had the baked beans and potato salad, also, which were unique in the absolute best way. In such a way that you’ll randomly think of it and the craving won’t be satisfied by others, you’ll need Whole Hog’s.
Needless to say, we’re immediate regulars.
(Honorable mention: price. Totally reasonable, I honestly considered it on the lower end re: other local pricing, even with the added delivery app fees. Considering the variety, quantity, and quality, it’s absolutely an added reason for the “immediate regulars” status.)

I ordered takeout on Christmas Eve for my daughter and me. I’m not a huge barbecue aficionado, but we both thought the meat and sides were really good. I especially liked the coleslaw. My order was supposed to come with ribs but it didn’t have any. I called on Friday and mandolin immediately fixed me up with a “half slab” for my trouble. No fuss, ez-pz. I picked it up on Saturday and it was delicious. I like this place. The dining room seemed to have a nice vibe, as did the staff. I’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the mood. Thanks!

The BBQ here is excellent. I loved experimenting with the 6 different sauces. I think there was also a seventh called “Volcano” but that’s a big no thank you from me. The portions were plentiful. The sides were delicious but I would have liked some fried okra. That’s ok the fries were awesome. My wife liked her BBQ salad.

This is a restaurant where the customer is expected to go to the register and place your order, then listen for your name to go back and pick up your food. The cashier was friendly and efficient. The wait time was a bit longer than expected. And where we were seated, it was difficult to hear the cashier calling names. I ordered the southwest salad with chicken. The salad was large. The chicken was dry. The price was reasonable for the size of the salad. The atmosphere was loud and cold. Even wearing a hoodie, i couldnt wait to get outside where it was indeed warmer. I am not sure i would go back again on my own. I was there because my friends wanted to go there. The friends i was sitting next to added sauce to their sandwiches repeatedly so i am guessing the meat was dry on their sandwiches. I am also not a big fan of barbecue so my opinion may not matter if you are

Went on a Tuesday night, and apparently there was an upitity and complaining group in the backroom. There was a bit of a wait, but we weren’t worried about it. The folks working the counter were very apologetic and polite about the wait time, and even offered a free brownie. Food is consistent and very good here, the variety of sauces is my favorite

I dont care what new BBQ joint pops up in or around town..this is the best brisket, hands down. The place is decorated with trophies……….winning BBQ trouphies. Be easy with the Volcano sauce and tell the staff how good the food is in person.

Food was good here and plentiful. The fries were good as was the coleslaw. Most of the burnt ends were very good but there was a portion of them that were dry and very tough, that being said I’d probably order them again.

First time eating there. Last time as well. I was hoping they would represent our state ( founded in Little Rock AR) but the ribs were extremely small. They did not tell us they were baby back ribs when we ordered. It was a family fest and ended up feeding two people out of 4. We had to eat left overs. Would NEVER recommend. We have to do better RAZORBACK country.

How do you mess up a baked potato? This was the nastiest, driest, old potato I’ve ever had.
We read the reviews before choosing to eat here and either Fayetteville is full of liers or their taste buds don’t exist. They were out of beef so I ordered it will the pork. The pork was so bland… barbecued WHERE? There was a slight hint of smoke but outside of that bland bom.
Wasted money for sure. Thank goodness we are from out of town, so we never have to dawn this place again. – Sincerely from Texas

Dissatisfied customers. We spent $84.83 for food that was inedible. Ribs. Burnt ends. Brisket and sausage were so overcooked or had been sitting there for a day or two. No sauce given. We ordered so.much because we thought we would have leftovers but we couldn’t really even eat it for one meal. We were leary on a Friday night and there was only one other couple in there. That should have been a red flag. We won’t waste that kind if money again.
