Me and my friends come here every week. I used to go to Yunnan a lot, the owner couple are local Yunnaness, and they make really authentic Yunnan local food. You can tell they put a lot of thoughts and effort in bring the most decent Yunnan food here. The ham is incredible, I always order an extra. The noodle soup you can tell they make it fresh every day.

I strongly recommend this local Chinese restaurant. The location is very convenient, right near the Great Neck LIRR train station. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very calming and comfortable, and it has traditional Chinese decorations. Everything is from native 云南of China. The food is very authentic and is served very traditionally and luxuriously. The order of serving the foods in the crossing bridge noodle soup pot is very authentic and fancy.

The Yunnan crossing-the-bridge rice noodles are very authentic, and the snacks are also delicious. The marinated chicken is full of flavor. Highly recommended!

Came here and it was empty but after the food arrived, we understood why. The place can’t seem to decide whether it wants to be a gift shop or a restaurant. The lighting had these singular hanging bulbs that were absurdly bright and glaring, to the point that it’s uncomfortable to sit and eat. Seems like they just yanked the shades off the pendant. The decor is tacky and incoherent, a strange mix of new elements and leftover remnants from the vegan restaurant that previously occupied the space. The noodle ‘bowl’ itself was large, but the portion was surprisingly small-mostly just broth with very few noodles or toppings and teeny bits of meat. Service was abysmal and completely soulless, not even a smile. For what amounts to a bowl of cheap noodles, the pricing is unjustifiable at $18 bucks per bowl. We will not be returning.

Charming new Chinese restaurant serving Yunnan cuisine in the former Zen Garden location. This was our first time visiting. The banquet seating is the same, but the place is decorated with festive red lanterns, a mannequin dressed in regional garb, and plays peaceful, soothing traditional Chinese music. This place specializes in serving hot broth in oven-heated stone-like bowls, where the staff brings out fresh rice noodles and adorable little dishes on a wooden bridge display, with a what looks like a dozen little samples of meat(beef/pork/chicken), tofu skins, and assorted vegetables. Google Translate can help you read the menu descriptions. This is deliciously warm and simple comfort food from the Yunnan province. We only ordered the mild noodle soups; will return again to try the more spicy ones. The dessert we ordered was the fried mini milk buns with sweet dipping sauce. Delicious. The staff was very kind. We are happy to have more options of Asian restaurants in Great Neck. We parked in the municipal parking lot behind Mr. Wish (bubble tea shop).

New Chinese Restaurant specializing in rice noodle soup from Yunnan Province, an area bordering Vietnam. The difference is in the broth, slow stewed with meat and mushrooms — popular in SouthEast Asia. If you like Pho, this is a more hearty version with thicker rice noodles. Try the vegetarian version – only uses mushrooms.
