Pulled up to Hagane Hibachi & Japanese Grill(161-02 Cross Bav Blvd, Howard Beach, NY 11414) with my familv and the chef turned dinner into a full-blown action movie. Flames flying, knives spinning, crowd hyped like it’s fight night
Started liaht with a California roll — simple. clean, handled with respect. Then I went heavyweight: steak with shrimp hibachi. That grill was snapping, butter nitting the rice, shrimp flipping in the air like they signec a contract.
Good food. Good energy. Whole table laughing, Oueens hibachi hits different when the chef cooks and performs like he’s headlining the show.

I always do takeout. Can’t review atmosphere. We always get the Habachi take out. We’ve pretty much tried everything and we give it a solid 8 only bc we’ve noticed that the food has become much more saltier within the last year and two. Delicious sushi Rolls.

Came here for lunch for two and we absolutely enjoyed! We had the vegetable spring rolls and pork pan fried dumplings as our appetizers. They were pretty empty so our food came out quick and hot the portions were also good as well for the price. We each did our own hibachi combo chicken & salmon and steak & shrimp. Hibachi includes miso soup and side salad. For drinks we had a passion fruit green tea and coke. Service was great and will definitely be dining again. For two people and everything listed was $100 exact. Food was flavorful and staff was very accommodating.

Very unprofessional. I called yesterday to reserve for a party of 20. They told me that “we don’t usually do this but we’ll make this exception but you need to be here on time” (said by the owner). I told them no problem. My entire party came 5 minutes early and nothing was prepared and nothing was organized. They canceled our reservation and said we needed to wait an hour to be seated. We were completely disrespected by the manager and he yelled and got very nasty. I do not recommend. Highly unprofessional.

I really enjoyed this restaurant! If you want hibachi you can sit downstairs and if you want sushi you can sit upstairs. I wanted sushi so we sat upstairs where it was very private. The service was super fast and our waitress was very nice! I highly recommend the lychee slush for a sweet drink and any food option is good and filling!

Our daughter suggested Hibachi for dinner – we both wanted to try Hagane Hibachi & Japanese Grill. There was only a 10 minute wait for our party of 4. It isn’t a large place – only 3 hibachi stations. Having been to a larger place I actually enjoyed this setting even more. The service was friendly. Chef was engaging, entertaining & respectful of our food allergies. The crowd was diverse. We tried chicken & steak and chicken & shrimp hibachi grill combos which also came with fresh grilled veggies, noodles, rice, garden salad and soup. Also ordered sushi rolls, tempura, bubble tea, plum wine. Food was delicious, flavorful and the portions were plentiful. My husband (who isn’t a big fan of eating out) is actually looking forward to us going back.

Nice small local hibachi and sushi place. I only tried the hibachi on my visit and would definitely recommend the chicken, the salmon was not very good and had an unpleasant after taste. The veggies and rice we’re good also. Good place for kids and doesn’t seen to get very crowded. Drink menu is limited but there are a few Asian beers, plum wine and sake. Price is reasonable compared to other hibachi restaurants I’ve been to.
