we walked in knowing prime tap house is super self service based!
you walk in, grab a table, scan a QR code, order and pay on your phone, and then your food gets dropped off. everything else is on you: getting your own soft drinks, grabbing boxes & bussing the table when you’re done.
the people who brought our food out were really nice and sweet!

as for the food, we tried a bit of everything and overall it was really good.
the OG prime smash burger was a 9/10: good bun & a solid juicy patty. the sauce was a little too smoky for me, but other than that it was great.
the wings were cooked well, seasoned nicely, and came out fresh and hot.
the fries are SO SO good!!!
garlic furikake was a 10/10!!!!!
yummy yaki was an 8/10
five spice BBQ was a 7/10
stout BBQ was a 7/10 as well, good flavor and seasoning, just not super memorable.

my only real complaint is that sometimes you just want something simple, and all their wing flavors lean pretty heavily into fusion. don’t get me wrong, they’re really good! you just don’t really have the option for something super basic & simple like a honey bbq, a garlic parm, etc. (which might be what they’re going for?)

overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re down for a casual vibe and want good wings and a solid burger without the full sit down experience.

This is a newly opened business and I’m very very impressed. It has a very cool atmosphere and it has a bar but it’s very much not centered around it. I love the decorations and the fact that they have games available for you to play! We ended up playing Yahtzee. I loved their Smashburger, their house sauce has a nice subtle kick to it. Their unique fries were absolutely amazing. They’re like potato wedges but light and airy like normal fries. They were fantastic. Premium food and service for very affordable prices.

The food is great! The best wings Bangkok and killer beez not to mention a great tap list. I do like the order at your table keeps it simple and comes out fast. They have a couple locations and all are consistent!

Nice to have a new place but we were not a fan of the tap choices. Food was fine but ordering was a process on your phone. Service was quick but food was just okay. Also, they had the roll up doors open but no way to control the flies, specifically the fruit flies that were everywhere while you were trying to eat. It was entertaining watching the other customers falling their arms at the flies.

My family and I had a very disappointing experience at Prime Tap House.

My dad waited twenty-five minutes for a beer while several tables that sat down after us received their drinks right away. When he politely asked the bartender about his order, she told him, “you need to practice patience.” That response was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

When my food finally came, there was a hair on the plate. The wings we ordered were also underwhelming; so candied that all you could taste was sugar and honey, with no real flavor beyond that. The presentation didn’t help either. The dish was nothing more than nine wings on a plate, without the carrots, celery sticks, or fries that you’d normally expect with wings. It looked bare and uninviting.

Water is self-service, which is fine, but the water was warmer than the air inside the restaurant. On a hot day, and for someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, a cold glass of water should be a basic expectation, but even that fell short.

The biggest issue, however, was the way management handled our concerns. When my dad asked to speak with a manager, one of the owners came over. Rather than apologizing or reassuring us that it wouldn’t happen again, she struggled to come up with excuses. She said, “We only have two bartenders. Sorry… line is out the door,” while visibly making dismissive faces. My dad pointed out that five tables who had just sat down already had their drinks, yet she offered no accountability. We weren’t asking for freebies, and we weren’t trying to get anyone in trouble… we simply expected to be treated with respect. The bartender was dismissive, and the owner dismissed us too, which only made the situation worse.

In the food industry, people remember experiences and emotions as much as the food itself. Unfortunately, this experience fell short on every level. We won’t be back, and we wouldn’t be able to recommend this place to our friends or family.

Its cool that they expanded to the Sherwood area. The food is consistent with their other locations. We did try some newer items (to us at least) – cheese curds, fried cauliflower, both the smash burgers, and the wings. The Thai lemon basil rub was a good an unique blend that we tried on the cheese curds. They have some great drinks on tap that aren’t beer – like lychee soju and pink lemonade.

Have been in here way too many times then I care to admit and the food and staff are always amazing. We have had the wings, burgers and green beans. The sauces are 20/10. They are a new business who have been slammed since the day they have opened. Unfortunately they are in a town with a lot of critics who aren’t extremely patient. Can’t wait to see what the future has to hold for this restaurant! It’s going to be a hit!

It was our first time in and we can’t wait to go back! Haley was awesome with food suggestions and service, and the whole team was very polite and personable. The wings are HUGE, the smashburgers are delicious, and despite being a very busy Saturday night, our food came out fast. Sitting outside was so nice! Thanks again for a great dinner!

Love this place. Asian style wings. The sauce on the wings is awesome. Whatever starch or oil they use to fry the wings makes them very crispy all around and not greasy. The sauces are very…. saucy and delicious. If you’re not a sauce person, try the dry rubs and some dong sauce for dipping. Beer selection is predominantly Oregon beers, but they have some out of state options too. They had 7-8 seltzers, wine, cider options. I usually want fewer non-beer options to make more space for beer, but some might like this. I’m young enough that ordering on the app was manageable. I was with a friend ordering and the app showed one thing was sold out for one of us but not the other. Ultimately, the app is a bit glitchy, but tolerable and workable for me. If my parents in their 70’s tried to deal with it, I could see it being a headache. I’m sure the app is something that helps keeps costs down to be fair. Staff is also very nice.

We love Prime. We know every time we go the food will be consistently delicious. We opt for the spicy options because we know it’ll steam up our glasses. That’s our tell-tale. Food is amazing (try the bao buns!). Drinks on tap has a nice array. Including wine for the non beer and cider drinkers. Sidewinder fries are the best. Staff goes beyond. Thanks for a great experience!
