Went at 11:15am for lunch on a Thursday.
Not crowded and no wait to be seated.
Various lunch specials- we tried at $6.99 Jalapeño Margarita, it was quite yummy and a decent size.
We ordered off normal menu as we wanted to try their Mexican style chicken tacos.
$15.99 for 3 with side of refried beans and rice.
We added an extra taco for $4.50 more.
Tacos are HUGE! Very impressive!
They were double tortillas, and so much meat, we split them and had 8 regular tacos to share & were absolutely stuffed!
Tacos come with cup of some homemade smoky sauce which was a nice addition.
Free chips and salsa and even brought us a cup of homemade HOT green chili sauce and boy was it spicy – we devoured it!
When you walk inside, you can smell the cleaning products and that in itself impressed us, then when you look around, you see they do clean more than most Mexican restaurants – good job ya’ll!
The restrooms were clean and well maintained.
The bar is not large but well stocked.
Total bill with tip was $36 and we will for certain be back often!

Food was good and we will definitely return. We were lucky to have a great waitress. It has been a while since we have experienced that. Chips and salsa promptly brought out as well as out drinks. One of, if not the best Mexican restaurant around.

Love this place. Can’t say enough about one of my top two restaurants to go to in Green Cove Springs.
Service is always friendly and prompt. If you come during the middle of the day, there’s a happy hour you can take advantage of. They also have daily specials to include both food and alcoholic beverages. If you’re interested in deliver or takeout, I’ve seen them extend the Taco Tuesday special on Uber Eats as well for those days where you can’t get to the restaurant itself. The restaurant can get a little busier Friday and weekend nights.
The food itself is above average for standard Mexican-American fare. Personally, I love their street tacos consisting of a variety of different meats of your choice. The Mariachi Burrito and their birria-related offerings are also excellent choices. Every table comes with a free serving of their fresh chips and tasty homemade salsa. As for drinks, there’s an abundance of choices from Mexican coke and a ton of different margaritas.
When it’s finally time to go, they offer the ability to pay by phone in addition to having the server process the card. It makes getting out a ton easier.
With that being said, give this place a shot. I’ve tried most of their nearby competitors at this point, and they don’t compare.

I wanted to give this place a try and, wow! The queso dip was almost a meal within itself, but then came the chili rellenos. They were large and may have been the best chili rellenos I’ve ever had.

Do not go here. Treat you like crap unless you’re buying top shelf. Went in as a regular and got served me cold queso. Asked to have it microwaved , came back just as cold. They didn’t even try. I’m polite and don’t like asking things returned. I always try and think of the staff, I’d never be demanding. I come in a lot and try to support the local business; but it’s apparent I’m not welcomed there. Bartender couldn’t even get my bill right. Good kid, but could give a flying hoot about a regular. While he gave some other guy a free shot. Didn’t feel welcomed, probably the last time I’ll go there. Atmosphere isn’t that great, food isn’t great. Staff not attentive. Was surprised considering how often I go. A shame. Never write reviews, that’s how bad it was for lunch today.

The setup inside is so inviting and welcoming with the decor on the ceiling and walls!! The service was very nice and accommodating by both the hostess and waitress. The drinks were nicely made and not overly made. The birria nachos were also very good. The nacos weren’t soggy or stale!! Will definitely be returning!!

Everything was great, from the greeting walking in the door to the service, food and drinks! The best hard taco shells ever, very authentic & delicious! And my soft shell shrimp taco was great, shrimp cooked to perfection! My brother is very big on chile rellenos and a hard critic of them, said his were really good! My sister in-law loved her enchiladas and my wife really liked her taco salad, great dressing too! Chips, salsa, guacamole, all very good…you will not be disappointed!!! And great prices!

I just received my door dash order that I paid $34 bucks for after tip for a $17 dollar meal that said it came with rice and beans! I got neither! My birraras quesadillas were so soggy I had to cook them in a pan to crisp them up to eat them! Last time I was in the restaurant you guys had one other table then us and two people at the bar, the server guy we had was so slow, it took forever to get drinks, I had to go up and ask for a refill and a box , and then again for our check! The food quality and service has gone down here and it’s sad because it was my go to place when we moved here.
