Hands down our favorite spot in Montrose. We go all the time and usually grab the Mt. Fuji and San Juan rolls. The service is always on point and the owners are so down to earth.
Don’t skip the green tea mochi for dessert!

The service is really great and feels very homely. What we didn’t like was the food. We absolutely love Thai and Japanese cuisine.. so wherever we travel, we usually choose these as our safe options. This was the first time we were disappointed. That said, the service is truly top-notch and the owner is extremely humble.

Lunch specials are consistently good, and the service is always quick and efficient. It’s rarely too busy in the afternoons, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed, no-rush meal.

Placed an online order for lunch takeout. Didn’t get an email that my order was ready so I called after a little over an hour.
Guy on phone says “I guess it’s ready.”
I’ll add photos but the salad was sparse and chicken hibachi meal had 9 small chicken chunks.
The sauce tasted like it was from a bottle.
Really bad would not recommend.

Me and my SO have been eating at HIRO for quite the while. They have always been very accommodating and very kind. Their service is on point. My SO has had several different types of Sushi before and he says this place serves some of the best. We are always so happy with the experience and the food that we receive here. The food wasn’t bad, especially for sushi in the middle of the mountains, but the owner came across as very rude in how he interacted with his employees. I really want to love this place, but it’s hard to support when staff are treated with disrespect despite working hard and doing a good job. The restaurant atmosphere was quiet but the manager yelling at his employees took away from the atmosphere.

Not as great as we were expecting. We got some sushi rolls and their chicken ramen. They were ok. Presentation of the rolls was mediocre and the quantity per order was inconsistent. Ambience was dull, and had an unpleasant smell similar to wet dirty rags. Came out dissapointed.

Unfortunately this is probably one of the worst Japanese steakhouse I’ve ever eaten yet. The food was absolutely flavorless. The portions are small and the prices are high. They have two young girls working. They have zero personality zero customer service skills definitely would not come back again.
