It’s my second time at this location and we were not disappointed! I strongly believe comparing Smokey Mo’s BBQ to “the other” BBQ is a thing of the past. Their Brisket and Ribs beat it by a mile. The baked potato filled with brisket was delicious as well. Their prices are good too, you need to stop by!

I had some friends that had a good experience here before. We went today on 9/7/2025 12:30 pm and the food was incredibly dry. I didn’t know it was possible to make pork belly have the consistency of a hockey puck, but the cook did it today. Brisket was dry, potato salad nothing special, the macaroni and cheese was cold and aged. The only thing passable, that I didn’t have smother in BBQ sauce was the sausage.

Everybody there are always super friendly, nice and they always get me exactly what I asked for. The Boerne Location is the best all the way from the manager down to the trainees that slice up my barbecue. They asked me what I preferred in parts of the sliced brisket. Most other places give you whatever they want and when you get home you are surprised at the parts of the brisket you get.
Smokey Mo’s always ask me what I prefer. There BBQ is always good tender and consistent. In my opinion they are the BEST!

The people were amazing and the food was pretty good. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is portion for amount ratio but its ok. I am happy I tried this place while in town and you should totally get the pudding while there..

We eat here occasionally. Every time we come in it is consistent. Greeted at the door. Barbecue always taste good. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Love the fact that they have regular barbecue sauce and a spicy flavor.

Though, customer service is great! They workers can make up for the quality of food and the price. Lunch sandwiches listed as $8.79 with one meat. Doesn’t specify what types of meat at all. So you order what you want and then depending on the meat they will decide what needs to be upgraded. Then one small drink totaling $18.05.
The meat was not worth the price at all gristle and fatty. For a sandwich. Not good at all. The price is misleading $20–40 per person is more accurate.

This place is a disaster! Its one thing after another here. Today, the overpaid genius in the drive through handed my food to me vertically instead of horizontally. Everything leaked out of the container and onto my passenger seat. Made a huge mess everywhere. How can you be so clueless? Please get better staff here, this is ridiculous.

I had the brisket today with the green beans and coleslaw. The brisket in my opinion is 1000 times better than Bill Miller’s. The green beans have a slight bite to it but the taste is amazing. Coleslaw is fantastic. Sweet and creamy is awesome. Don’t waste your time going to Bill Miller’s and go to Smokey Mo’s. You will not regret it. Just my opinion
