Our group of 13 ladies had lunch on Wed, Oct 22, 2025 at Javier’s Authentic Mexican Food, 703 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah. Our luncheon was wonderful! All of our group agreed that the food was delicious, the service was terrific, and we loved the atmosphere! We’ll be going there again.

About a year later I stopped in for a late lunch. Very coincidentally, I ordered the exact same meal – Tamale and Cheese Enchilada.
Service was great and the food was delicious, again.

First time at Javier’s on Washington Blvd. I was having my tire repaired just down the street. Great, friendly service. Very welcoming.
Seats were slightly on the uncomfortable side. Informal, family meal atmosphere.
I had the Tamale and Cheese Enchilada combination which is served with Refried Beans and Rice. Everything was delicious.

I ordered Beef Fajitas through the drive-through, and this all you get + some chips for $20. You can literally get so much more food and better quality for less money in other places. Maybe it’s different if you’re inside. Not planning on spending that amount money again for so little food

Friends brought me here on my 2nd day in Utah to sate my craving for Mexican food. The server brought the table some freshly made corn chips with individual bowls of salsa. I had their No. 10 Pancho Villa combo with taco and enchilda and a tamale with a side of beans and cheese. My friends both had taco salads. We were all impressed by the delicious quality food and impeccable service. Sadly, this store doesn’t have beer, so only 4 stars!

Love their salsa. I have gone here with my family since I was a little girl. Yummy combinations with rice and beans. Also love their dessert. 7th street location has a drive through which is amazing for lunch or take out.

Chile Verde is NOT a soup, in my world anyway. So if u r fine paying $8 for pork flavored soup called Chile Verde, you might like this. But if u r more inclined to believe that Chile Verde is slow cooked PORK dish (pork being the key ingredient) u will be exponentially disappointed. Sorry to say that I haven’t found any place in Ogden that is any better – it’s hit or miss with Javier’s – on my last visit they did it right but this manager was not up to spec. Go elsewhere.

We went through drive-through And ordered a steak fajita, a chicken taco salad, and a drink. Those three items came to over $45!! When we got home to eat, we were surprised by how small the fajita was for the $24 price tag, and it missing the flour tortillas it was supposed to come with, and the taco salad was cold with soggy chips – we ended up throwing it away. The quality of the meal was definitely not worth the cost or effort to go there. We won’t be back.
